pace of play
on the weekend there have to have a ranger monitoring the course as we were stuck behind this 4 hackers who were smoking weed and drinking beer all day and the pace was so slow that we had to skip a hole in order to finish in less than 5 hrs....
Good Shape
I have played other courses in the area and they all have some damage on their greens and fairways but not Pennsauken. It is in good shape and worth the money. The staff is friendly and I will continue to play there
Just gotta love it
Pennsauken is one of the best public courses in the area.. Played second round at Pennsauken this year last Saturday. Our threesome completed 18 holes in 3 hours. That is way golf should be played.
Always in good condition just book tee times tight.
Fantastic course
Course is in excellent shape, as it always is, even with the amount of play it gets. Staff is very friendly and price is great compared to other courses in area.... 10 out of 10
Always in great shape !!
Well maintained throughout the whole course - best conditions in the area
Best Public Course in the Area
I play a lot of golf and have played almost every course in South Jersey in the recent months. Pennsauken is the only course whose conditions have held up through the hot, wet conditions this summer. Most courses have very little, if any, grass on tee boxes, fairways, etc. Even some greens are burnt out, damaged by over play, or poor conditions due to players not repairing ball marks. Pennsauken CC though has kept their course green from tee to green. The greens roll true and fair. The course itself rewards good shots but allows play for bad shots too. Even if your game is not 100%, you can still walk away from Pennsauken feeling good about your game and wanting to come back. I am a 5 handicap and usually play from the blue tees and find my game tested. I use every club in my bag and have to stay focused to score well. Today I played from the white tees with some friends new to golf and was pleased to see how the course offered a completely different set of lines, club selections, and approach shots. It was like playing a new course! And it was just as challenging as it is from the blue tees. My friends raved about the course too saying it is hands down in better shape, offers more in pace and playability, then courses like Indian Springs, Ramblewood, etc that are in bad shape and still asking for WAY TOO MUCH MONEY. Pennsauken offers a great course, friendly pro/staff/rangers/waitresses, and great prices! I walk the course for $28 before 2PM and $26 after! My friends paid $40ish with a cart! It's A NO BRAINER! I would give this course 10 stars if I could. It's not a private course by any means, but for a public courses that gets A LOT of play, it is one of, if not, the best around! Make this your never round for sure! Trust me. I know golf. Best in the area!
Well maintained grounds
I enjoyed my first time at Pennsauken Country Club. Played the front 9 in the evening. Was surprised with how well the grounds were maintained. Although the holes were mostly straight away, the hazards were plenty, and pin placements were challenging.
Excellent !
The conditions out here at Pennsauken are phenomenal, from tees through greens, I would put them up against anyone in the area, including private courses !
Long day
1pm t time 5.5 hour round was ridiculous and never did we see a ranger. But they talk a good game on 1st tee they have a sign about pace of play but was not enforced. Saw the beer girl about 10 times but no ranger. Also have your head in a swivel never heard so many fores in my life.
Great condition
A really well maintained course where most this August have struggled greatly. The layout is not exactly my favorite but it’s a great conditioned golf course and I will surely be back. Pace of play however was a bit slow on a Thursday afternoon
The course is in great shape, the only problem is the pace of play and that’s all the time.
