About
Nestled in the hills of Scotts Mountain, Harkers Hollow Golf Club was carved from a sloping hillside, giving it a challenging terrain with plenty of elevation changes. Opened in 1929, the golf course has a classic layout designed by Robert White, the first president of the PGA of America. Although it is a seemingly mild 6,551 yards from the back tees, the course plays much longer and harder thanks to the undulating terrain. The layout does offer a few lengthy holes as well as some interesting par 3s. The greens are small and fast with breaks ranging from subtle to dramatic. There is hardly any water but the Lopatcong Creek does run the entire length of the golf course and requires the occasional carry. The par-3 fifth hole is the club's signature. It is particularly notable for its scenery, which is why it has served as the backdrop for many weddings.

Golfer Reviews
No carts available
Purchase a tee- time for 3:00, 18 holes, cart included. Arrived at 2:25 and was told there were no carts available. Had to carry my bag, left after 9 holes. Staff is clueless and not helpful at all.
We appreciate the review. You rated us 3-stars which means there is room to improve on your recent experience at Harkers Hollow Golf Club. Let us know, in the comments, how and where you would like to see changes from the course. Thanks for the feedback!
Disappointing at best
I understand the country is facing water restrictions, but this property is as hard as stone and it didn't get that way in one season. The cart path on the back 9 is in terrible condition and the tee box on 17 looks like a rock quarry! If you try and take a divot, you may break your wrists. The greens are extreamly slow, considering the water restrictions issue. I know they are trying, but the effort is not at all obvious on the course!

Value for the price, pretty basic course
Overall value, but average layout, pretty wide open with mature trees not hindering too much. Greens is good shape and rolled well, with some postage stamp greens.
Thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. We value our customer experience, so your review is important to us. We will make note and we hope to see you back at Harkers Hollow Golf Club!
Great track!
Yesterday was my third time at Harkers hollow and it did not disappoint. The relatively narrow fairways and slope warrant your attention and accuracy. Greens are in good condition and roll well. The cart paths definitely need to be updated but I’m sure management has that in the works. From what I’ve heard this was in disrepair several years ago.
Pace of play was slow yesterday but was fine the previous two times.
Will definitely make this one of my regular courses. Wished I lived a little closer.
Has come way back
First rate experience. Scheduling, greeting, pro shop, bar and restaurant all full of nice people. Had a late time and went for lunch first. Greeted at bar by regulars that had already finished and felt welcome.Course was in good shape with nice greens.
Great value.
Great time!
Course is in great shape! Greens are perfect, fairways in great shape. Tee boxes are a little beat up but it’s the middle of the season.
Great prices at the turn and at the bar after the round!

Fun and easy layout, a lot of par 4's
We enjoyed our day on this course, will be back soon for sure. I particularly enjoyed the hilly terrain and layout of this course. It was challenging, and has some really nice views and birds of many types..
Unfriendly Staff
The course was in good shape however the staff was rude and made the experience awful. It was Memorial Day weekend so the course was full. The pace was a little slow which going into the day we knew would happen because it was a holiday weekend. We were constantly being harassed by the course staff to play faster when we were waiting for the foursome in front of us at every tee box. They eventually asked us to skip the tee box and drop in the fairway which we declined to do so because we were not the problem. Being harassed every hole made the day horrible and not even enjoyable. I do not recommend anyone to golf here unless your on the tour and can play 18 holes in 3 hours.
