Harkers Hollow Golf Club

About
Nestled in the hills of Scotts Mountain, Harkers Hollow Golf Club was carved from a sloping hillside, giving it a challenging terrain with plenty of elevation changes. Opened in 1929, the golf course has a classic layout designed by Robert White, the first president of the PGA of America. Although it is a seemingly mild 6,551 yards from the back tees, the course plays much longer and harder thanks to the undulating terrain. The layout does offer a few lengthy holes as well as some interesting par 3s. The greens are small and fast with breaks ranging from subtle to dramatic. There is hardly any water but the Lopatcong Creek does run the entire length of the golf course and requires the occasional carry. The par-3 fifth hole is the club's signature. It is particularly notable for its scenery, which is why it has served as the backdrop for many weddings.

Slow pace
The course pace of play was very slow on the day we played. There was a few groups ahead of us that weren't going speed up for anyone. At one point there was a twosome on the tee box we were in the middle of the fairway the group in front of us were maybe 20 yards from the green and a foursome on the green. That was a first.....
Old course but challenging
The tee boxes could use some help but the rest of the course was in great shape. Very challenging never had a flat lie so it will test your game. I met some great regulars who were fun to play with and the staff was awesome.
Great course
It's a great course, with an exceptional price. Unfortunately the pace of play at that time of day was unbearably slow. I only got in 11 holes before I had to turn in the cart. With the time played i definitely should have been able to do 18.
Nice golf course!
Harkers Hollow is one of the nicest golf courses in Warren County, NJ. The course has 18 holes, a driving range, and practice putting green. Located on an uphill slope, the course is somewhat challenging with it. The staff was very friendly and helped us get started with our tee time. I can see why people come to this course to golf. Overall, highly recommend this course.
Had a great time.
The course is very well maintained. Greens are exceptional, and the fairways were great. The rough was a little high, making it harder to find your ball if it rolls off the fairway. And the cart paths most definitely need some attention. It was a rough ride. But I'm not there for the ride, I'm there for the play.
HARKERS
ALWAYS IN GOOD SHAPE, CHALLENGING WITH HILLY SLOPES. GREENS FAST AND TRUE
Harkers
Nice course. I am a beginner so haven't had a lot of exposure to different courses
A peaceful weekend round of golf
It was our first time visiting this place, and the courses were not difficult. The greens were in good condition, and we felt relatively comfortable during the play. However, the cart paths seemed to need some maintenance.
Nice round at Harker’s.
Enjoyed my recent round at Harker’s. Played the whites about 6200 yards but longer with all of the up and down on the mountain. Love the course layout and the size and slope of the greens. Beautiful course and scenery. Greens were true and in good shape. Traps were very playable. Some tee boxes a little beat up but playable. Overall a great day and I will continue to come back. Great bar w excellent food after the round. Never disappoints.
Great first time there!
It’s a really nice rural course, everyone was super friendly, food at the turn was pretty good! Everyone kept a great pace of play. The cart paths need major work and a lot of dirt/rocky areas that could be easily filled also, especially on the back 9. Overall, we will definitely be back!
The patient play was very slow for Monday Afternoon C court Paths are horrible
