About
Nestled in the hills of Scotts Mountain, Harkers Hollow Golf Club was carved from a sloping hillside, giving it a challenging terrain with plenty of elevation changes. Opened in 1929, the golf course has a classic layout designed by Robert White, the first president of the PGA of America. Although it is a seemingly mild 6,551 yards from the back tees, the course plays much longer and harder thanks to the undulating terrain. The layout does offer a few lengthy holes as well as some interesting par 3s. The greens are small and fast with breaks ranging from subtle to dramatic. There is hardly any water but the Lopatcong Creek does run the entire length of the golf course and requires the occasional carry. The par-3 fifth hole is the club's signature. It is particularly notable for its scenery, which is why it has served as the backdrop for many weddings.

Holler out for Harker's Hollow!
Greens and fairways are in great shape! Layout is majestic and the mountain background is beautiful. Cart paths need work, some areas under the trees are bare and rooty, and the men's locker room has a moldy & musty smell of age. But overall a great course to play!
Nice course to play
Played half the course in a misty rain. Like to go back when it’s a nicer day cart path need some work. I would go back again
tough Greens
This course plays on the side of a mountain. Because of this I had a very hard time with the speed of the greens. Downhill putts did not reach the hole and uphill putts seemed to roll faster and never stopped. Course conditions were very good. The cart paths are in need of extensive work and due to the rains there were washout areas mainly around the tees.

Good course
Great value, course was in good condition. We played early so the pace was quick. Will be back again.
Much better every year
The fairways in the greens were very nice. Some of the tea boxes weren’t the best and also the areas driving from the tea to the fairways are terrible shake your kidneys.

GN Players Treated like Illegal Aliens
If you are a GN member and book a time at HH you might be in for a Special treat! Once arrived on Monday we were told that it was the mens golf league that day until 1pm by the large blonde woman running the check in process that day. The gaps between sending the players out that day was just insane. We drove from Connecticut and made it to HH in 3 hours. Was hoping to get out a bit earlier since it was a Monday but the lady starter says you need to wait until your tee time NO EXCEPTIONS!! After a 5hr plus round of Golf decide to head into Easton PA get a room for the night and Play a real course like Morgan Hill. Got to Morgan Hill the next day and was treated like Royalty the entire day. I will NOT return to Hackers Hollow!

Always a toughy
I play this course to bring me back to reality. It’s a very tough hilly course. Very dissimulation to par and bogey unless you are very long off the tee. With that said. I always enjoy playing this course because I can shoot an 85 at another course. This one brings me back to the reality that “you’re not THAT good bro”😂😂
Fun round
Played a round on Father’s Day. For a holiday it moved well. The actual course was in good condition but the cart paths were very dangerous on spots with giant holes and bumps causing us to lose control. Course is fair and greens run adequately. Overall a fine round for a relatively inexpensive price.
No relief offered for a no riding cart rule
When I arrived at Harkers Hollow course, I was told riding carts were not in use for that day. I had received no notice of this so I did not bring my pull cart. After reviewing my reservation, which included a cart, no offer of a pull cart was given.
I attempted to walk the course with a full bag. After the first 3 holes the course becomes uphill. Thats when I, at 62 years old, decided to quit.
As I made my way to the car, I noticed the same person from the clubhouse talking up pull carts to other patrons.
I think at the very least a refund of the cart fee is in order.

Change in cart policy
I reserved and paid for 18 holes for two players, cart included. When we arrived at the course, we were informed that there was “ walking only” policy in place. There was no offer of pull carts.
As a senior citizen, I was not in a position to walk 18 holes where half the course is uphill. I could only make it through 4 holes carrying a full bag.
I am requesting at minimum a credit for the cart fee. Thank you

It could be a very nice course. Sand needs to be filled with real sand. Tee boxes need repair. Cart path is dangerous, needs a lot of repair.
