The Meadows at Middlesex Golf Club

Plated Sun, July 24th - tee boxes were chewy, burnt grass (all over) the fairway, and the greens were hairy. It was like putting on the fringe the entire day. It makes Dyker Beach (bklyn) look like Liberty National.

The course had a nice layout. However, it was a little chewed up due to what we eventually heard was a fungus that ran thru then week prior. Had it not been for the friendly, accomodating staff, I would have given 3 overall stars due to the course condition.

I generally love this course. Pace of play and layout fantastic. The fairways were essentially gone due to lack of rain and tee boxes rock hard. Greens and sand traps in ok shape. For +$53 would look elsewhere to play as at $35-$40 reasonable with these conditions. Will try again in the fall but most likely not returning this summer for the price compared to conditions - cannot justify it.

Overall a fun day out on the links. Course design is entertaining but some of the fairways, tee boxes , and sand traps are in really rough shape.

One of those Saturdays that course was surprisingly quiet and $30 special ( with cart ) - unbeatable. Staff super friendly that day.

Don’t know what’s going on. Recession ? People at the beach I guess . Only downer was this foursome at the back nine who were exceedingly slow . I mean they would not stand a chance at Mercer Oaks- the rangers there will straighten them out . We just decided to play the next hole - they were pretty close to playing a hole for at least 10 min !!
