Rockleigh Red/White
Course was in good condition from all the rain lately and all the play this course gets. I would recommend this course to anyone as the price for 18 holes is great.
County Course with a “hmmm” (good)
Course Layout:
Good mix of length, hazards, openness and overall can’t complain with overall layout
Conditions:
Fairways have pockets of divot marks but mainly due to players not fixing their divots as I saw too many marks with divots a couple of yards away. I mean how hard is it to fix your divots. Same goes for marks on the green. Ridiculous as if everyone does their part, the course becomes that much nice. The only complaints are the sand TRAPS… cap on traps as I don’t know if you can call it sand as it’s so dense and filled with pebbles. Not all but a lot. But for a county course it’s acceptable. Pace of play has never been an issue and I think I waited only on one hole a par 3 but that we got on tee as the last player was putting out…
Other:
The golf shop has some good merchandise and is not overpriced and some are a great deal… the snack bar is also decent and can’t really complain.
Overall:
It’s actually a decent track and like I said for a county course is decent. For the price you can’t complain and enjoy a day.
Lakes
Only recommend when this course is in good shape ..
Unfortunately the bunkers and fairways where lakes today .
Rockleigh Red/White
Course was in very good condition with all the play it gets. Teed off at 7:10 AM and took less than 4 hours to finish. Need to reactive drinking water on course and put some rakes near sand traps again. . Sand traps need some work.
Green of the 1st hole
Everything was good except one : uncleaned green with ducks' excrement of the 1st hole.
Comfortable course in good condition
Course is generally friendly with some challenging holes. It is mostly flat with just a few changes in elevation which makes it a nice round.
I’ve been in Blue (8 holes) before which was very disappointing (it was $12 what you pay for is what you get…)
However
I played today in Red & White (18 holes) first time which is very good
I would definitely come back to play and recommend to friends
