Great course but pricey
Preakness Valley has been one of my favorite courses in all of northern Jersey for years. Both the East and the West are both great courses. Since they raised prices last year I no longer play here. 80 dollars with a cart is too much for this course. 60-70 sounds about right. 64 walking is too much. But no complaints with the course.
Don’t Waste Your Time or Money
My group and I showed up 25 minutes early for our 10:50 am tee time and we didn’t end up teeing off until 11:15am. The course was a mess because of “1.5 inches of rain” so holes 6-13 were closed. Ended up playing 1-5 and 14-18, then leaving because of how slow the pace of play was. Ended up playing 9 holes in 3.5 hours and the managers/rangers did nothing. Never playing this course again….
Well maintained, and fun to play.
Went out as a foursome, with cart, finished 18 holes in 3hr 45min. Challenging but fun.
Maintenance is priority here and it shows. Clean fairways and greens! Bunkers aren't "concrete beds" either. (Found out first hand)
Will definitely be going back soon.
great day
weather was a little warm but what a great day of Golf.
This place sucks
booked a rate for 45pp. they charged 65pp when we showed up. 9 holes only for some reason. the back 9 were jus closed. they were open an hour earlier, no reason for it that we could tell. no cart girl. nothing.
Great time
I was a well made course for beginners to intermedium play friendly golfers as well playing. The staff was great friendly and helpful!!! I would highly recommend and definitely will play again
great shape
The course was in great shape. the greens were true and tough to read. But overall it was a great day of golf.
Short but Fun Layout
The East is not the longest or most difficult but has a wide variety of holes. Conditions were very good and greens rolled true. I’ll be looking forward to returning.
Nice Alternative.....
.... for an average, intermediate golfer.
For beginners it will 'eat up' balls (thick rough, hazards & out of bounds).
Nice place!
The course was in great condition and for the price it can’t be beat…
