Beekman Country Club - Highland/Valley
About
Beekman Country Club has a stunning location nestled in the foothills of the Berkshires, just as they are rising from the Hudson Valley. The 27-hole hole golf course is divided into three nines that are combined to create three scenic and challenging 18-hole courses. The Highland/Valley combination begins at the clubhouse and gradually climbs over 500 feet. The front nine offers panoramic views stretching from the valley to Stormville Mountain. The Highland nine features the signature hole, the par-3 fourth, of the entire course. It is most beautiful in the springtime when the dogwood trees lining the fairways are in bloom. Although the elevation changes are not as dramatic, the Valley nine is not to be forgotten with one of the country's largest oak trees guarding the sixth hole.

First time playing in February!
Even after a morning shower, the course was still playable. This is the earliest I have ever played golf in the Northeast. Considering that Beekman did not open until May 1st last year, yesterday was a bonus. I hope they can make some of the money back they lost last year.
Course is in good shape, the greens were aerated and were a bit bumpy.
Beekman Golf Experience was Great
Course was in great shape for a mid November round. Leaves were not an issue as the fairways and greens were blown clear so no trouble finding balls. Greens were in great shape. Weather was cool at the start and got warmer as the round progressed. Overall a great way to end the golf season in the North East!!!
good time
played a round on a sunny Sunday afternoon and had a great time.
Beekman 151108-99
Leaves not a problem except on Valley 4th hole. Great day!
Very good day @ Beekman
Golf course was great and a great value. The greens could have been a bit faster otherwise great condition
Autumn Conditions
Over all had a great time . The staff was friendly and the greens were quick. It was windy all day. I was impressed how clear the fairways and green were with all the leaves coming down. The ground crew were out blowing leaves from the greens and used this massive blower going down the fairways.
Flawless
Great day on the course.⛳️awesomecondition.⛳️hope-toplaycourseagainrealsoon
Need ranger to do right job
Often there are many beginner golfers who tide up the course. I saw the ranger driving around but they do not job they supposed to do.
great course
played the valley & Taconic .Besides one or two tee boxes, the course was in great shape. beautiful views. The staff was very friendly. look forward to going back.
Nice layout
layout made this course enjoyable. Some holes are a little short-but greens tucked away or elevated made it a little challenging
Fun course
Nice course, not recommended to walk. Might be tough for the beginning golfer. I enjoyed it very much and will play there again.
Great value
Great value for the course. Great pace of play and well kept. Would play again!
Good round despite the heat!
I'm an intermediate golfer and appreciated the (mostly) open fairways. Greens were good if a bit fast due to recent hot weather. The three 9 hole courses helped pace of play it seemed. The view from Highlands 3rd green/ 4th tee is worth it!
Overall a really good experience. I will return.
Fairways Great but Greens not so Great
Fairways and tee boxes were well kept but greens were terribly kept and the overall course layout was odd
enjoyable
Course was in good condition. Pace was a little slow, somehow a 5some developed in front of us. We asked if we could play through but were told only if we caught up to them(which we did several times). We did not press it and there was no one out there of authority to talk to. Are 5somes a standard for Beekman?
Other than above it was very enjoyable.
Nice for the money
Played Beekman for the first time 8-8-15 thru Golf Now. I was paired up with three other very nice guys who all did the same.
The staff was very friendly, and it was nice to have a driving range on site to warm up a bit first.
Overall the course was in just OK condition. Tee boxes were very small and well worn. The fairways were a little shaggy, and the greens were still suffering some wear from the long winter.
The great pace of play and the friendliness of my playing partners more than made up for these shortcomings.
I would not rush back to play Beekman at full price, but it was a good venue and value using GN
BEWARE OF FOLFERS (FOOT GOLFERS)
I came up to Beekman on a somewhat busy friday afternoon. My 4 some rode up to the first tee of the Taconic nine. When we got there there was a foursome of Folfers "teeing" off. These FOLFERS had carts. Sooo...they would kick their soccer ball...about 100 feet, walk to the cart. Drive up...kick again...ugh. It took them about 30 minutes to play the first hole. We took our time playing the par 3 first and when we got to the tee on #2 there they were. I dont know whats more infuriating that they have FOLF on the course or that they sent us out right behind a foursome of folfers. Long story we ended up going to the Valley nine. The course is in decent shape. Some greens still exhibit damage from the winter. Sand traps were baked solid as usual at Beekman. The fairways were in decent shape as were the tee boxes.
Folfers, Folfers Everywhere!!!!!
This was a crowded Friday late afternoon tee time. Got to the first tee and there they were...FOLFERS aka Foot Golfers. If you don't know what Foot golf is...it's golf with a soccer ball. So these FOLFERS would kick the ball 100 feet. Walk to their cart. Walk to the ball...Kick it 100 Feet. UGHHHHH. To make it worse...I almost killed myself falling into a 24" wide FOLF hole.
Long story short. Come play here if you want aggravation and frustration in your round. Otherwise look elsewhere.
Great time at BEEKMAN!
Got the reduced rate for afternoon play on BEEKMAN! Course in great condition. Played in 4 hours 10 minutes. Starter very friendly.
Good course.
Nicely maintained course - suitable for most golfers.
