Beekman Country Club has a stunning location nestled in the foothills of the Berkshires, just as they are rising from the Hudson Valley. The 27-hole hole golf course is divided into three nines that are combined to create three scenic and challenging 18-hole courses. The Highland/Valley combination begins at the clubhouse and gradually climbs over 500 feet. The front nine offers panoramic views stretching from the valley to Stormville Mountain. The Highland nine features the signature hole, the par-3 fourth, of the entire course. It is most beautiful in the springtime when the dogwood trees lining the fairways are in bloom. Although the elevation changes are not as dramatic, the Valley nine is not to be forgotten with one of the country's largest oak trees guarding the sixth hole.

course has good options with 3 dirrerent 9 hole courses, .

Fun Time! Only problem was aeration began on the greens, made for tough putting. I know they have to get it done, so it was OK.

Slow and steady wins the Beekman race

Sadly, the title could apply to virtually any public course in, I guess, the US. Five hour rounds are now the norm on weekends. Beekman has some very nice holes, mostly all on Highland & Taconic: Worth a shot & a drive if you see discounted offers. We'll go back sometime in the fall for another round.

Beekman in good shape early in season

Played Beekman Highland and Valley. Course is in good shape considering there was snow on the course a few weeks ago. Greens had been aerated, but most were fast. Would recommend to others at this point of the year.

Good Value during the weekday

Good course for your money during the week. On Weekends though there are better courses for your money.

Pros: Very easy to get to from rte 9 and Taconic Pkwy. Not expensive overall but better to go during the week or during twilight hours. Staff is friendly and local.

Cons: Limited snacks at clubhouse to buy, so bring your own. Gatorade machine rips off 20+ people a day.(from experience) Counting on time of year, some holes can be under construction. The Ffirst tee on one of the nine is horrible. Lots of divets and seems to have never been maintained.

Overall a good local course for those in the Hudson Valley.

Moderatet course with too many short par 4s. Very good condition

The course is staffed by friendly people and played at a steady pace - about 4 hours for 18 holes. Too many short par 4s.
The Highland course is very scenic.

everything a weekend warrior could hope for!

I often think how nice it would be to play regularly (with my retired friends) during the week when the courses are not so congested, the rounds move along, and you look forward to the next one. Well, I have to say that Beekman offered that exact experience when I played it for the first time this past Saturday. Great staff, beautiful course, awesome landscapes, greens in great shape, course not too hard not too easy...there's a really nice vibe at this place, and I look forward to coming back in the future. Well worth the hour drive from Southern Westchester.

A Great Value

While not a regular on this course complex, staff was most accommodating re which of three halves to play. Surprisingly for a glorious Friday afternoon (12:04 teetime), the course was essentially only sparsely populated. We joined up with another twosome along the way and thoroughly enjoyed the course. I would particularly note that, as opposed to Southern Westchester courses, people up here tend to rake their tracks, replace their divots and repair their greens. While they don't any longer provide lunch or free range balls, @ 49 or so w/cart, this was a very good value indeed.

Not Bad!!

We had a good day on the course and the round was definitely fast. One complaint would be the conditions of the greens. Many were in terrible shape as they were right down to the dirt. Hate to say it but a lot of the greens were not green. The workers were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was nice. Cold beer and Kim was very attentive. The wrap I had was not the best as it was toasted and did hold together well. Anyway, enough about food. Fix the greens and overall it would have been a 4 1/2 star experience.

very disapointed

Took 5 hours and 15 minutes to play. ABSOULUTELY RIDICULOUS! Did not see 1 ambassador on course. Cart path only due to heavy rains according to pro shop. ONE hole had water on it. Don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.

greens are lightning fast makes you feel like you are in the pga. entire course is perfectly maintained.

If you see a tee time on golfnow for this course do not pause for a second, id say it would be worth the normal price even (if I had that sort of cash available) enjoyable for a double bogey golfer managed a few pars.

Very nice!

We played in the middle of the day with a disccounted Golfnow price and had a great time. The course was in great shape with the only comment being on the sand in the traps. Not crowded so we played fairly quickly and really commend the groundskeeper. The starter and the gentleman in the pro shop were also very cordial. All around great experience (except for the triple bogey)!

Course is fun.

I DO NOT LIKE THE CHANGES TO THE VALLEY COURSE! Hole #8 is a joke for players that draw the ball or for lefty players because of the nettting that is on the left hand side.
Disappointing.

Course in great shape, amazing views on Highland course.

This is a very nice Country Club. Has three courses (27 holes), the nicest being the Highland course, which has some of the best views in Hudson Valley. The course was in fantastic shape yesterday.

Great price for this course

Although some of the holes run somewhat short, it's a nice course to play. Well maintained and challenging holes. This course features some incredible views of the Hudson Valley.
