Beekman Country Club has a stunning location nestled in the foothills of the Berkshires, just as they are rising from the Hudson Valley. The 27-hole hole golf course is divided into three nines that are combined to create three scenic and challenging 18-hole courses. The Highland/Valley combination begins at the clubhouse and gradually climbs over 500 feet. The front nine offers panoramic views stretching from the valley to Stormville Mountain. The Highland nine features the signature hole, the par-3 fourth, of the entire course. It is most beautiful in the springtime when the dogwood trees lining the fairways are in bloom. Although the elevation changes are not as dramatic, the Valley nine is not to be forgotten with one of the country's largest oak trees guarding the sixth hole.

The course blended well with the natural Hudson Valley topography. The elevation changes, risk -reward challenges and nifty pin placements!

After a rather miserable spring weather condition, this day of golfing pleasure was a heaven send. The fairways and greens were immaculate. The sand was manicured by staff throughout the day. The carts are new. The lunch was excellent. Just the way the golf gods meant it to be!

Very nice views - lots of Up & Downs

Played on April 28, 2013 and the course was in very good shape. Greens were faster than they looked. Bunkers must have just been replenished with sand because it was near impossible to get out -- like hitting at the shore! (and I am a very good sand player)
Even though it was a Sunday afternoon and looked very crowded the pace of play was perfect.
Stay away from the Valley 9 (they have 3 nines).

Good course.

The course was wonderful. However there was a snag with the fees. My online booking clearly stated that a cart was included for the stated fee. However the attendant insisted that the booked fee was the walking rate. There was another gentleman there with the same problem at the same time. The manager was called. He allowed us to have a cart for the booked fee. Except for this snafu, we had an excellent afternoon on a good course.

Good Course needs better markings

Course's in good condition, Problem did encounter was not knowing distance to doglegs and then which club to use, found hitting through bend especially on Valley course. Need better markings or GPS system on carts.
Overall enjoyed course, would play again

QUALITY

Beekman is a 27 hole facility that does every aspect of golf well. It does lack some of the quality of the 5 star courses but it is solid in every way. Great deals and always ask about the $3 lunch special. Greens roll true but are a bit slow. Many holes tend to be on the shorter side but their are plenty of challenges like the 6th hole on the Taconic Course which is a par 5 that requires a good drive, a layup and then a 140 yard forced carry over a pond just to set up a two putt par. The 3rd hole on the Highlands course has one of the most spectacular views of the entire Hudson Valley once you get to the green. Play here in the fall for great views of the folliage. They have changed the layout on the valley course and the new par 3 doesn't seem to fit in. Mabe it just needs to mature. Westchester residents should skip their 5 1/2 rounds on their public courses and get in the car and come here everytime!

Fun Course

Fun course with the 27 hole layout. Played when the greens were plugged but didn't make much of a difference. Fairways are in good shape too. Would definitely recommend.

Favorite course in the tri-state region

Course has been in great condition this year, even with some challenging weather conditions. Having a 27 hole layout keeps it from getting boring, although my favorite 9s are the Highland and Taconic. Staff is super friendly and very helpful. I played mostly on Wedsnesdays afternoons and it was very easy to get on and rounds were routinely under 4 hours with a cart. Great value especially using GolfNow.
