Shadowbrooke Golf Course

If you haven't played here lately you might want to wait until next season. There is a large amount of standing water to the point where they have moved the tee boxes because the landing area is under water. I am surprised that the course is even open right now. Because it is open, the carts have torn the course apart. This course needs to invest in a proper drainage system. If you are thinking of playing because of the cheap rate,don't wait until next season

I wasn't playing well and almost walked off after 9.

The course offers enough challenge for the price.

I've golfed at Shadowbrooke plenty of times, so before I start describing my experience, I should let you know it's still worth playing if you find a rate around $15 (incl. cart)...but barely. The greens are like a shortly-cut fairway. You have to kill your putt to get it close to the hole. The worst thing was when I went on golfnow.com, it showed several tee times open for the next hour, so I figured it wasn't too busy...I was wrong. To say they double-booked tee times is an extreme understatement. They had groups of 5 and 6 all over the place, and it took me 20 min. to play the first hole. I always thought I would play any course for $15 (incl. cart), but the unfriendliness, unorganization, and poor conditions are making me think otherwise about this course.

I can say this is a nice course. I like the amount we paid. The only negatives are hole 11 or 12 was like walking on a bog and the sand traps weren't sand traps they were water hazards or mug traps. I don't think there was any sand in them.

Great little course. Course was in great shape considering how much rain had come just gone through within the previous week. Only minor complaint was a group of four never offered our twosome the opportunity to play through which slowed us considerably especially on the back 9. That of course, is not the golf courses fault. The staff working this particular day were absolutely amazing!

This course is a really fun course to play whether you are a beginner or play multiple times a week. It has the right amount of challenge but still lets you experience freedom off the tee and around greens. There aren't too many hazards, but it does get challenging back in the woods.

The owner is also very accommodating and wants to give you a great experience. If you are thinking about paying big bucks to play in the cities verses coming out and playing Shadowbrooke, come out to Shadowbrooke. It's the best deal for your money and the most fun.

This course just keeps getting better each year. It's my families favorite place to play. Nice layout, Goldstrand design. A favorite course for most of my golfing buddies.

Small town course with a nice layout and can't beat their green fees! Friendly staff and worth the play but isn't a high end course in terms of maintenance or upkeep...but for the price is well worth the play!

Decent course for every level but if your looking for a championship course it wouldn't be for you.

This is the 2nd time my son and I played the course. First time was last Summer for which we were both neutral as to our experience. Thought we would give it a try again this season and we are now unanimous with our decision that we will probably never go back. Granted, this is early season golf, but the overall condition of the course left us wondering if anyone really cares about keeping this place in business. The Greens feel like your are walking on a bog and play like shag carpeting. The rest of the course is rough at best with muddy/low land conditions everywhere. This course has real potential, but unless management decides to spend some time and money making the necessary improvements, this will survive only on local play with dirt cheap rounds leading the way. Pricing is what drove me to this course in the first place...getting what I paid for may drive me away.

Played for the first time this year. Course was wet and there was still snow on some of the greens and a couple of the fairways. Still it was good for this early in the year. Plan to come back out there this year when the temps are warmer and the course will be in better.

moderately challenging, not too long overall great course for the money

This is the worst golf course I have been at all year when we got there the sprinklers were on at 12 o'clock we had to play through them there was about a quarter inch of water on some of the greens. I do not recommend this course to anybody there are much better courses 20 minutes away.

This course offers wide open fairways and rewards the straight ball hitters. Played my round in just under three hours (as a single). Has a few challenging holes and was a pleasure to play.

The course was in very good shape. The water Got out before tee time and was able to play at my pace without people behind. Played through 1 foursome as I was a single with out any problem. Very enjoyable round of golf

Greens were the slowest I have ever played on but in good shape.
The blue tee boxes were as long as the rough. Don't think I would go back unless it was free or under 20?buck...

Beautiful course. Rewards straight shots (don't they all). Challenging, but not too--have shot 80 and have shot 95.

I only have to say this is one of my favorite places to play!

Pretty standard small town course. Not bad for 25 bucks. Wouldnt pay 40 for it.
