New Paltz Golf Course

The fairway on hole #1 was almost no fairway at all, tee boxes not cut properly. There were large clumps of dead grass all over the whole course. The second time this year I played the course this year and the first time was worse. I will not play this course again this year!

Very challenging and also pretty well kept. The fairways can be a bit overgrown but the greens and tee boxes are very well tended.

Though certain fairways can be a bit overgrown at times, most of the fairways are great. The tree boxes agd greens are in excellent condition. Scenic, challenging and very affordable rates.

There are times when the fairways need mowing, but in general, challenging course with beautiful views. VERY reasonably priced!

Immediately paired with another couple, despite lack of anyone behind us. Followed to the first hole by staff. Did not get a chance to drive the first ball when they informed me that my lack of experience would be problematic. What they don’t know is I’ve played growing up and it’s just been a bit of time. This was our first time playing together as a couple. When I was approached I told them I would take my money back, leave and not return. I was then mocked. Mind you the other couple are standing there in complete shock as well. I informed the worker and her accompanying person that they were being quite rude. They then mocked me again. Highly unprofessional atmosphere. Of note, for the remainder of time they hassled us with our return there were no other players who came in. There was no reason for this rash behavior and was unprovoked and discriminatory to myself not being a novice player.

i first played new paltz in '92.. back then it was a well maintained course with a long card from the blue tees (which were not present when i played the other day) and a friendly length from the whites.. those were better days.. these days it seems some tee boxes are recognizable due to the shape and size, but their height of cut matches the rough/fairway, which wasn't much better than my back yard - there are 100 yard markers in the fairways, but you'll have to search for them as they've been overcrowded by turf growth over the years.. the greens, though quite slow are in good shape.. perhaps it's a lack of funds that have turned this once great challenging track into another muni. i'll play again if the price is right, which it was, at 16 beans

My only complain was the lawn mowers going up and down the fairway as I’m on it lenving grass clippings everywhere.

This was my first time playing the course. I was a few minutes late for my tee time, but the staff was gracious about it. The course plays deceptively long, especially from the blue tee boxes. It was a nice challenge.

The course was a little soggy in places, but we had quite a bit of rain the week before. Can't blame the course for the weather. I walked 9 and the sogginess didn't impact my play.

The greens were above average for the area. The fairways felt tight on a few holes as they were framed by mature trees along both sides. It added to the challenge. I would definitely go again.

Car paths do not go to all the holes so when it rains, it’s walking only

Love wide fairways and few hazards for the beginners to really work on their game

Best women’s golf league in Ulster County!! Monday’s and Wednesdays. Beautiful course and wildlife. Staff love their jobs. Everyone is welcome. Challenging course something for everyone.
