About
Smithtown Landing Golf Club offers both an 18-hole regulation course and a nine-hole executive course. The courses are open to the public on weekdays and to Smithtown residents on the weekends. The Regulation Course has a surprisingly tough layout with subtle but tricky contours throughout that cause some challenging lies. Mature trees line the fairways, making accuracy a necessity and there are also several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. At 6,114 yards from the back tees, it's a golf course that requires strategy over length, beginning with the first hole. This dogleg right par 4 will force you to carefully think about the placement off the tee. In addition to the two golf courses, Smithtown Landing also has two practice greens with surrounding short game areas and a driving range.

Nice course
Course well kept. Some challenging hole. Stuck behind slow 4 some, but otherwise enjoyed
Smithtown Landing is always in great shape, even this early in the season.
The only issue with today’s round was it was ladies day, it made for a long front nine.
Normally great, but too early to enjoy
This is normally a great course "in season" but right now it's pretty rough. The grass is not growing, the fairways have been "strip aerated" and are "thin", and the greens have been recently aerated. I would suggest waiting a month and coming back when the place is back to it's normally "great" state. In May and June the course should be back to 5-stars.
Fun layout
First time playing this course and I really liked the layout. Not too long but it makes you think about club selections. Course was in great shape for early spring/late winter and no one was there on a Monday.
This course is a challenging and fun place to play . The people that take care of the course do a great job with maintaining the fairways and greens . Kudos to the staff as well for a job well done . If you haven’t played here yet it’s worth the trip to get it a try .
Winter round
Nice to get out for a round in the winter. Course was in good shape, it would be in even better shape if people were more considerate to everyone else and fixed their ballmarks and replaced their divots.
Bad experience
Booked a 1 p.m. tee time through GolfNow, we showed up and discovered that the course was closed. No one from the golf course or GolfNow bothered to contact us in any way. My friend drove from Jersey to meet me to play, needless to say this was one of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had on a golf course and would affect my decision making in the future with regards to playing the course.
To top it off we were charged for the round, so everyone was quick to take the money but not so quick with the customer service to inform us the course was closed and of course not charges. Now I have to call GolfNow to try to get my money back, again just a bad experience overall.

Pretty nice course. I chose a great time & day to play. Due to the weather, it was empty. I had the course to myself.
First time
First time playing course has a nice layout and staff was very friendly considering it was the last week of January the course was in very good condition can’t wait to play when the weather is warmer
Busy on the weekend
Great challenging course. Fast greens. Course feels long from the tips Not much level ground test every shot. Pace was slow 51/2 hrs.
New Years Golf
They were open, the course was in nice shape for January and the staff was friendly. Overall this might be 5 stars in the summer because the conditions were nice in January probably really nice in May. Who could ask for more !
New Years Day Golf
A rare warm winter day was perfect for a round of golf. Despite heavy rain the week prior to playing, the course was in good shape. A combination of longer holes and challenging greens makes this course fun to play over and over again.
1st timer
The staff were very curtious and efficient. The starter was even a funny guy.the course was immaculately kept. This is a very challenging course and if you do well here, you can play anywhete. Thanks for a great day!
