Regulation Eighteen at Smithtown Landing Golf Club
About
Smithtown Landing Golf Club offers both an 18-hole regulation course and a nine-hole executive course. The courses are open to the public on weekdays and to Smithtown residents on the weekends. The Regulation Course has a surprisingly tough layout with subtle but tricky contours throughout that cause some challenging lies. Mature trees line the fairways, making accuracy a necessity and there are also several strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. At 6,114 yards from the back tees, it's a golf course that requires strategy over length, beginning with the first hole. This dogleg right par 4 will force you to carefully think about the placement off the tee. In addition to the two golf courses, Smithtown Landing also has two practice greens with surrounding short game areas and a driving range.

Smithtown Landing is a nice course for the value. The Layout is nice and the greens were in excellent condition. The overall course is well maintained. Would definitely play here again.
Good for expert
Like a mountain climp course make me more challenging
Attitude!!!!!
Tiny greens!
The course left much to be desired. Low rate facilities. Tiny greens. Go elsewhere.
great day
nice cource. it was a windy day. the greens were airated a week and a half ago. so putting was a bit challenging. had a good time.
Beautiful. Greens
The best greens in suffolk county at this time. Great, friendly staff
Nice Layout
This was the first time playing this course. I liked the layout as it was a hilly course and very scenic. I would like to play this course when everything turns to green. The greens were surprisingly quick, true and very bumpy, but you have to expect that this time of year. Club selection is key here. Overall it was a really nice day and a nice course. If you haven't yet, you should give a t try.
Layout
Course needs better maintenance
Fun Hilly track
Golfing on Long Island for 35 years not sure how I missed this course. Probably more intimidating in summer with full trees and heavier rough. Lots of dog legs so small greens with a lot of slope [though not undulating]. Birdie opportunities but some penal out of bounds holes can make scoring tough.
stay home and hit rocks in your driveway
This course is the pits dont bother bringing your clubs you might as well bring your garden tools and maybe your own grass to tee off from but the snack shack is to die for if your into the cross contamination thing
utstanding Value
conditions were perfect, greens were good, fairways were wide and in great shape ! rough was not a factor. parking was good. carts are not allowed in lot, a nice walk. plenty of fun for everyone !!!!
TIGER
VERY SLOW, MANY HOLES BACK UP 2 FOURSOMES DEEP. FAIRWAYS AND GREENS IN GOOD CONDITIONS BUT ROUGH HAD BARE SPOTS AND RUTS
Great Course with Small, Challenging Greens
I played in the early afternoon and was very happy with the round. The tee time came with some range balls to loosen up and then I went out. The course is not long (Just over 6,100 yards from the back tees), but it is definitely a shot-maker's course. The toughest park of the course are the small, undulating greens. If you miss the greens, it is tough to chip since the greens are extremely quick and run out a lot and the day I played, almost every pin was tucked in a tough spot. Even if you hit the greens, almost every green can bring a 3-putt into play, especially if you are on a wrong tier or slope. Overall, the course was in fantastic condition and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!
Smithtown Landing
Enjoyed the course. Pace of play was fine. Conditions of the green were good.
A very nice course
It was a wonderful fall day to go out and play. The conditions of all parts are the course were very good for this late in the season.
The greens were very tough as they did not hold your shot, were very fast down hill and slow going up hill.
The bar looked nice but was closed.
The course has plenty of interesting holes with club selection off the tee box being key as it is not that long.
Would play here again and recommend it to people.
Great Golf Course
Scenic golf course in great condition. Knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff. One of the Best public courses I've played.
JUST TO LONG
SLOW!!!!!!
JUST UNDER 6 HOURS TO PLAY, I DO NOT PLAY THERE MUCH. THE COURSE ITSELF IS NOT BAD AT ALL. IT S A TOWN COURSE AND YOU GET ALL GRADES OF GOLFERS, MOST NOT SO GOOD. AND THERE IS NO RANGER.
It's fine
Played from the tips since its a short course. There were parts of the course, not on the fairways but sometimes on the first cut, where they just let the crab grass take over. Fairways and tee boxes in good conditions. Greens in great shape. Challenging for a first timer because of the many blind shots. I would play again if invited to play there but I wouldn't invite someone to play and suggest that course. The back nine has some pretty holes and there was a long par five in the front that I found fun to play cause I can hit long.
HOT HOT HOT
EXTREME HEAT. COURSE HELD UP. AERATED GREENS.
THEY WATER TO KEEP THINGS GREEN AND SOFT.
COURSE DESPITE HEAT WAS FUN.
Greens need to be better
