Great shape
Course is well maintained. Greens and fairways are in great shape.
Great layout. Good condition
Hadn’t played course in over 20 years. Layout is terrific. Lots of variety and a bit hilly. Easy walking course. Condition was very good. Greens quick and in very good condition. We caught a group around the 7th hole that was the the last group in tournament, so the pace slowed considerably after that. Played front in 2 hours. Back took 2:40. But we beat the rain so it was all good. Definitely worth playing.

Perfect day for a round at Spook Rock
Course was in great condition, considering Covid, and compared to other public or municipal golf courses around the NY metropolitan area. I love the layout with plenty of features, elevation changes, bunkers with raked sand, and enough water to keep it challenging and interesting for players at all skill levels. However, probably due to Covid, there are no ball washers, course bathrooms, water stations, etc. Looks like that will change for the better in the near future.
Go there and play and when you can, go back and play again.
It’s an absolute gem and head golf professional, JimMcCann has the staff running the facility at an extremely high level. Everyone is friendly and helpful from when you arrive until when you reluctantly leave.
My friends and I will be back to enjoy this course.
Pleasantly surprised
Starting with Chris in the ProShop and extending to the rest of the staff my expectations were exceeded, not only with the course but also the Restaurant and Driving Range area. I purchased a Sausage Egg and Cheese Sandwich at the turn that was truly the best I have ever had at a Golf Course. The course itself is amazing, I really enjoyed playing it. I will definitely be back. If I had one criticism it would be the speed of the greens (too slow), but I noticed they were punced in the recent past so that is too be expected.
