Beautiful course
Course is in great shape. Lots of trees so hit them straight.

still a tough little course
course was in excellent shape, except for the bunkers on the front 9. the sand was like concrete, whereas the back 9 seemed to be in better shape.
10,11,12,13 seems to take forever, play really slowed down at the turn. greens were in great shape.
Love this course
This is such a great golf course with so much character. Some holes very challenging and you need to make sure you place your tee shot on the par 4's and place your second shots on the par 5's in the correct location.
Greens well protected by bunkers/ water and marshes in some locations.
Would consider moving to Suffern area to get residents rate.
Course fairly easy to walk if someone prefers
Ate the angus burger/ sweet potato fries after my first round there, and they both were amazing.
Good golf course
Layout is great, but it does not warrant an $85.00 fee with a cart. The people who run the course should get a grip on reality with their pricing. Private clubs charge between $75 & $85 with more amenities, and virtually pristine conditions. The course had wayyyy too many beat up areas to charge that kind of money for a weekday round of golf for the guy who just walks in to play

Locals rule
This course is run by the Town of Ramapo, NY. If you are resident you have a really good course for a very reasonable fee. If you are not you will pay top dollar, $85 with a cart weekday fee. Last time I played here was 25 years ago and the course has not changed. Course conditions were excellent, my only complaint was no one fixes ball marks with such a good course played mostly by locals you would think they would take better care of this gem.
