Forest Park Golf Course

Greens showed that they were aerated a bit ago (maybe two weeks ago?) but were almost completely back when I played. Course was in good shape for NYC and the round was SUPER fast (just over 3 hours...) even if it was a Tuesday afternoon. I would note that the rough was a little long but it just added to the challenge...nothing unreasonable. Hope to get one more round in there before the season is over!

A good course to play if you live in Brooklyn. I can't believe I was on the J train a half an hour before my tee time. Fair price for a good course, but they needed help on the tee boxes. They were not seeded well.

Course is decently maintained. Green could be better with some marks. But not terrible. Good value.

Forest park is a nice course. Challenging but doable. Course was in good shape. A few blind shots. You can’t never go wrong with a round of golf here. If you never played here before, you must.

I brought Freind’s tee boxes was the biggest complaint.

Over all it is the most convenient course to play for myself.

Probably the worst course in NY for pace of play. Played Friday afternoon and usually pretty quick round. Not this day. Course is in rough shape too. Is it that hard to grow grass in NY? Tee boxes are mostly all rubbish, fairways on various holes are crap

My first time playing Forrest park, first time playing solo.

Was paired with a cool group, we had fun but the course is in a really rough shape. I get that it’s a public course but played can Cartland a few times this summer and it’s very well maintained in comparison.

Most tee boxes are dirt patches, greens are cracking, filled with divot holes that no one bothers to fix.

It was a last minute round, had fun, was able to swing the club and that’s all I was asking for, but manage your expectations.

The course was in decent shape, but some rougher areas. Most tee boxes were completely dirt with very little grass. The greens were recently aerated when we went. Some parts of the fairway were pretty baron grass wise. A few bunkers were in tough shape as well with lots of green growing in them.

Why ask me to review the course , when you censor my previous comments on my round at Clearview. If a course is unplayable which Cleatview is and was, fellow golfers need to know. Maybe, management will then put some effort into maintaining the course.
