Forest Park Golf Course

Last time I golfed here was a couple of years ago, so, not much has changed since, except with the current pandemic, the entire staff is doing their best in maintaining all the "cleanliness" guidelines that can be enforced. The course itself is in ok shape. Some of the tee boxes were truly beat up. Some sand traps had no rakes to be found. Fairways were fine. Putting greens were either too fast or too slow, so, the overall experience was as expected for a NYC public golf course. A decent golf outing, so, a course worth playing (as all public golf courses, play early or suffer the consequences).

I love NYC golf, but I can’t stand people who don’t fix their divots one the green. This place really could be a great little track but the greens pay the price for golfers who don’t follow rules. Keep up the good fight Forest Park

Since there is no clubhouse at the turn, it would be great to have a water station at 9/10

I've played this course 4 times this season since it reopened, and each time the condition of the course has improved. The rough was a little long at first, but it gets better each time as the crew is able to get around to cutting it.
