Forest Park Golf Course

It’s a great course. Course conditions aren’t good this early in March and it was expected.

The weather was in the 40s but great conditions on the course my first time playing here but not my last

greens where in great condition weather cooled so I quit after 15 holes pace of play was okay

Played on December 28. Was a bit cold but no problem. Courses in decent shape for this time of the year. Round took about 4 1/2 hours

Nice golf course 30 mins drive from Manhattan. That means crowded. The course design is pretty bad and dangerous. I am surprised we came out alive seriously. Balls shooting left and right, front and back. I wish i was riding the Pope Mobile car, wore a helmet and bullet proof vest. Left my window shield up at all time as a bullet proof protection but that wasn't enough. Even when you wait at the start, there's not a safe place to wait.

3 first holes took an hour. Again due to bad design. A par 4 followed by 2 par 3. That's not very smart. Long lines waiting and little action. It gets better after though.

We order burgers at club house and they were still raw so we didn't eat them and went back to get cooked ones during the waiting game.

It was a beautiful sunny day so we made the best of it.

This is not a joke, the course was so backed up it took us 3 hours to play the first 3 holes. In total we played 12 holes in 6 hours before giving up. Do not play here. People are rude, golf is mediocre and the lines are absolutely horrendous. This is the worst round of golf I have ever played.

Unless you feel like waiting 20-40 minute per hole. Don’t bother. Fairways are narrow. Golf balls flying all over the place. Pandemonium . Greens are garbage. Just terrible.

The course is really nice, except it takes a very, very long time to finish playing.

He cannot manage the pace of play at all. On top of that he is verbally abusive to everyone using offensive language. Oh Yea, he smokes like a chimney inside the stater booth, in front of you, pretty much wherever he wants. Pretty sure his name is Bobby

The greens need to be repaired. Other players never pick up the dents they put in the green or if they see any other after they are done with the hole.

Course is in great shape and every time I play the beverage cart is roaming about. They could use a ranger or a better starter to help pace the course as it can get really backed up.

If you tee off any time from 9am-3pm on a weekend your gonna be playing a 6+ hr round no matter the course...stop complaining you stuck up cry babies...it’s NYC. The course does need some tree trimming on some holes and the sun light doesn’t get to some tee boxes making the grass not grow but other then that it’s maintained well for what they have to work with. Golfers, fix your marks on the greens and they will be kept better, don’t take extra shots and look for lost balls for 5 minutes when you have players waiting and act like you want to be treated and you will have a fun round. You get what you put in.
