First Time Playing at Forest Park
I got a great deal for 2 players at 2 p.m. through Golf New York and we both thoroughly enjoyed the course. We didn't realize that we had to trek over to hole #16, but once we did, the starter put us back on track. Beautiful course - can't wait to play again!
great course out in queens
greens were a bit slow, tight fairways, reserved 2pm tee time, but teed off at 1:30pm. expected more crowded conditions, but it was a perfect saturday with nice weather, & great conditions.... pace was fairly fast for weekend as it was not too crowded
Pace of play
Had to tell staff about players teaching other players. Strange thing was the teacher need to be taught. It took one and a half hours to play three holes and there is never a ranger on this course to see how play is moving.
Horrific tee boxes and cart paths
Old man cooking the egg sandwiches was so nasty I asked for a BEC n because I asked him for salt pepper ketchup he asked if I wanted him to eat it for me too that's how the day started off . Course played fast after the first two holes tee boxes are in horrible condition leaves and sticks all over the green
short but tough
F/P is a par 70 from the white tees, not so long, but very tight and if you can not keep the ball straight you will lose many balls. The course has been built up in the past 5 years and is now a pleasure to play.
Poor Time Management
The course, overall, was in fairly good condition. I made a tee time for 11:35, didn't actually tee off until almost 12. By 5 o'clock, we weren't even done with 13 holes yet. They allow far too many tee times. Because of this, you're waiting on EVERY SINGLE hole. When we got to the course, there were 5 foursomes waiting to tee off. This should NEVER be the case. I know it is hard to manage the amount of players who go out but they need to work on getting players out faster instead of holding them up.
Forest Park Golf Course
The course is in amazing condition, I was thoroughly impressed, as was my playing partners, I have never seen the course in such good shape, the greens keeper should be proud of his accomplishment
good time
couldnt beat the price for this course, will def go back
narrow fairways.
the most difficult aspect of the course iare the very tnarrow fairways on some of the holes. the other sistutation is that the course set up has many greens and t boxes nexgt to each other.
Great condition
It poured for almost 10 hours before we hit the tee but the course absorbed it all. Fairways and greens are in great shape.
Great course to be outside and play
Easy access from HWY and staff were very friendly to players! Maintained fairways and greens well! Some holes were challenging due to trees and narrow fairways, while others were relatively easy to make pars. Strongly recommend to play on this beautiful course!
Great time
The greens was in great shape..have to hit good shot to score
Way too crowded...
Everytime I play this course it's overcrowded and the starter just throws people out there. I had a 2pm tee time and I didn't get started till 2:30 cause I just got thrown in with all the walk-ins. Zero communication between club house and starter. It took my group 3 hours to play the front 9 on a Monday afternoon and I had to leave after hole 11 because it was taking too long. I play at Forest Park only when it's really cheap and because it's 5 minutes from my house. Go to another course if you have the option and don't even think about playing on the weekends!!
Great course
Great for the price, right off parkway, only complaint, course layout was confusing
Short but tight
I like the course - fairways are narrow but with the short course recovery shots get you right back in the game. A couple of holes back up but then the course suddenly opens up nicely.
Course Conditions
Course in decent shape 4 this time of the year. Pace was fair.
Needs some serious maintnance
I went to Forest Park right after sandy the first time around. The greens were in poor shape and the tee boxes were a muddy mess. I assumed this time would be different and would look great and to my shock it's the same as it was after Sandy.
Darn leaves..
The course was nice, greens were decent. But, playing in the fall has it's frustrating moments. I lost 5 balls in the leaves between the 9th 10th and 12th holes.. In the fairway!
Course is close together, so hitting a slice, hook, etc will put you in hazardous conditions, such as having a 4some on the next hole waiting on their approach shot while you're looking for your ball on their fairway... Good luck!
Great Course
In the middle of the city this course provides the feeling of being away from it all... Love the par 3 I believe it was the 15th could of been the 16th that went straight over a little pond... I would recommend this course to any skill level player... Keep um straight..!!

Not Good
Not good it took over five hours and forty five minutes because there was also an outing going on at the same time. My wife gave me this as a fathers day gift package from golf now. The course was nice but not fun hitting your shot every ten minutes
