Jacaranda West Country Club

Really a nice course… maybe medium difficulty level. Front nine pace of play was kind of slow but made up for it on the back nine. Couldn’t quite finish.. got through 13 holes and the thunder rolled in. Nice personnel.. well maintained.

The only thing that was not perfect was the driving range is too small to use/hit drivers.

I’ve played here a handful of times over the past 5 years or so. The first few times I played, the course condition and staff were fantastic. I expected the conditions to be a little worse this time since we have a drought in the area. The course could definitely be in better shape than it is. The real issue was Jerry. Jerry is one of the cart boys at Jacaranda West. Jerry approached my group on 16s fairway and said 16 had to be our last hole. Nobody ever said anything to any of us in the group about having the carts In by a certain time and we were almost finished so we all sort of asked why and why nobody had made mention of this prior to paying for the round. We were waiting 5-15 minutes on each tee box so we were not the issue. Then he said while point at the ground in anger “Well, I’m telling you right now. This is gonna be your last hole”. Then he got mad at me for telling him he wasn’t anyone’s boss and to get lost and tried throwing the fact they allowed my grandfather to ride along with me for free in my face. Would have gladly paid as I told the lady in the pro shop. To Jerry, you are absolutely entitled to wanting to go home! But, you don’t get to bring that energy and then be shocked and appalled when you get it back. Talk to your greedy course that over booked the tee sheet or retire and you won’t have to stay so late old man.

$150/pp and then they hit you for $15 for range balls. Carts sucked , no gps or anything. Course was ok. Fairways a little thin. Greens were decent, a little slow compared to some other local courses. For the money,, even in season, there are plenty of other local courses that are better bang for your buck. Staff was very friendly though.

Greens were in great shape and predictable. Not too much water, but enough to keep you on your toes. Would play again.

Went to play a Sunday round of golf. 4 single players hooked up for the same tee time and it was a great time.

The course itself is pleasant and generally in good condition, and the staff was courteous. However, the overall experience was undermined by two significant issues: pace of play and restroom maintenance.

The round moved at an unbelievably slow pace. What should have been an enjoyable 18 turned into a drawn-out slog, which takes the fun out of the day. Being sent out earlier than expected also didn’t help the timing of the round, and the finish stretched far longer than it reasonably should have.

When pace of play drags like that, basic amenities matter even more — and unfortunately, the restrooms were in very poor condition. The unisex setup may be practical, but the facilities were unsanitary, with urine on the floors and a strong odor. That’s not a minor detail; it directly impacts the overall experience.

There are too many well-run courses in the area to justify spending that much time for 18 holes under those conditions. With better pace management and cleaner facilities, this course could be a solid option. As it stands, I’ll be choosing elsewhere for now.

Not the best value for money, conditions were average. Greens were long and slow, some bunkers look like they need to be redone.

We enjoyed playing this course for

the first time a couple,weeks ago and the greens were good. This time the greens were a lot slower, but still fun to play if you get a hot deal.

This course is not even close to being worth $150.00. No way, no how.

Course was in much better condition than other courses in the area.

I haven't played this course in two years. At this time of year there should be way more grass around the greens and fairways. Lots of dead grass everywhere. And chipping off hard pan around the greens is just unacceptable. Considering that they charge $150.00 a round, it feels like golfers are being taken advantage of. Since I don't live in that area any longer it's a moot point. But if did live in that area I definitely would not pay that outrageous price for the poor conditions. Even the greens need work. There is nothing pristine about Jacaranda West and that's a shame.

Very nice vacation type layout. Reasonable distances and wide fairways. Needs.some maintenance on the tee boxes and with some rain will be a nice track to.play.
