Osage National Golf Club - The Mountain/River Course

Our group ended up playing all 27 holes, and the condition was excellent. It is expensive to golf here, but they have a large staff and 27 holes to maintain and keep in excellent condition. Pace of play was fairly quick considering how busy the course was. As you would expect, the River course was flat as you are challenged with doglegs, tall rough, and layup decisions. The Mountain/Links courses have several elevation changes and blind shots. The scenery is great and fairways/greens were in perfect shape. I'll definitely return, but will try to tee it up Mon-Thurs to save a few dollars.

Course in great shape. It was very hot the day we played. Enjoyed the river course, thought the mountain course had some quirkiness to it but very playable. Would play it again and would like to try the links course also. A little pricey but watch golf now for a deal. Enjoy!

The down side was that there were no maps of the holes. There were several blind shots that we had to drive over half way down the fairway to see where to go. On one hole I hit a great second shot only to find it in a pond that we had no idea was there.

The course was in great shape, both fairways and greens. The traps were well raked but filled with both sand and rocks.

I've played Osage many times. This time I booked a Hotdeal for 2 players with a 1:55 tee time.

The NHL final playoffs were starting that evening. I called the course to see how busy they were in case we could get out a bit earlier so we could get back to our resort to see the start of the game. The lady in the pro shop said they weren't that busy in the afternoon; but, when she looked at the booking she said "because you booked on Golf Now I can't let you start any earlier" Really, they will treat us differently because we booked on Golf Now!

I checked the Osage website and found the tee times were available for almost every slot after noon.

We showed up just before 1:00, dropped off our bags and asked the staff there we could head out early. They said "no problem". We signed in at the pro shop where the lady said you will have to wait until 1:55. We ignored her, went out to the cart which was now loaded and were given the go ahead to start.

Got back to the resort in time to watch a great hockey game.

This course will challenge expert players. The river course is the easiest to handle. The mountain course has breathtaking and challenging holes, as it is named! If you are going to play golf at lake of the ozarks, this is the one course you do need to play; professionally designed and cared for.

Started out a little slow, had a large group playing a tournament ahead of us. However spread out later all worked out well.

We played the River Walk and the Mountain Courses. Had a great time....really nice golf course deserving of the association with Arnold Palmer.

Course is beautiful and well laid out. Holes are challenging.

It was a beautiful day for April, a little breezy. It was a little slow playing but we were a twosome and there were several 4somes in front of us. So, not the courses fault for being slow. Several tee options.

Fun course and well managed. Top 3 course at the lake.

Only got to play 9 holes because of rain. Larry Salesman gave us a 9 hole rain check. Hamburger at the course was excellent.
