When I bend my knees on the down it makes me dig end. So I don't bend my lead knee. I hit the ball straight but loose distance. HELP!!!!!!!!
Hello Rodney, it’s a tricky blend, for sure. Bending your knees in the downswing helps provide a push away from the ground so you can accelerate your arms and club faster. As a Club goes down your left shoulder goes up back and behind you. Offsetting the down force

Hello Gary, there are a few ways to top a golf ball. You could be too steep, down onto it. You could be hanging back on your trail side with an ascending blow. You could be bending your elbows, too much. Without seeing you, it’s tough to know which possibility hurts your game.
Have a question. On the takeaway I’m standing an inch or so further from the ball and ulnarly flexing my wrists a bit more. This allows me to place the blade of the club flatter on the ground versus heel down. Any real problem doing this?
Hello Dale, most every one of the best strikers has an angle between their lead arm and the shaft at address. So, I’d say it’s uncommon to set up with the shaft in line with your arms. But, if you hit it better that way, you do you.

Great tip and advice, as usual. Now, how about a drill for “leading with the hips” and keeping the arm extension through to the finish. On down the line video it appears that my hips aren’t moving as they should and I appear to lose arm extension. Thanks.
Alexander, I like to do a drill called follow-through first. That’s where you start with a club head in front of the ball and rotate, extend and side bend to a half follow through. Once you understand that motion, add a bit more backswing and follow through.

Don’t mean to hog the comments here, but do you have a drill for keeping the trail foot engaged on the turf longer and avoiding getting up on the toe too early in the downswing. My all flight is actually pretty good but the trail foot/leg action on video drives me nuts!!
Put the face of a sand wedge under your right heel and angle the shaft behind you out of harms way. Seek to hit the ball before the club hits the ground.

Hi Andrea! Great question. Your swing includes the motions of how your wrists behave depending how you grip the club. You can keep things simple or make things complex by bending wrists less reliably. It’s really the magic of a great striker.

Hi Angus, thank you! Totally understand your concern. It’s okay to loose some flex in that trail knee, but don’t move the trail hip over the trail foot. Rotate.. Cheers
