About
Chippewa Golf Club in Doylestown sits just a few minutes south of Akron. It's one of the area's most popular public courses. Opened in 1962, the golf course has a traditional layout that sprawls across rolling hills. The undulating landscape provides a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Accuracy is key since mature trees frame most of the holes and the massive, contoured greens also present a challenge. If you can keep it in the fairway, there are some great birdie opportunities on the par 5s. Overall, Chippewa Golf Club is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy with the exception of the treacherous 14th, 15th, and 16th holes. This trio, nicknamed the "Bermuda Triangle," will test the putting skills of even the best golfers.

Golfer Reviews
Great course, absolutely the best kept from beds to tee boxes to fairways and greens. Absolutely beautiful. Only downside had 2 twosome’s and a 3 some in front of us and the 2 somes should’ve paired up.
Absolutely the best maintained course I’ve played in a long time. More open than I expected but a very enjoyable course. The fairways and greens were exceptionally well kept, everything was well manicured around the course also.
Nice place
The course is in great shape. Tees and fairways were in wonderful condition.
Greens were large, fast.
From back tee positions several hole elevations had severely down hill positions to make second shots, needs rethinking.
Great course in great shape
Another great round at Chippewa! Course is in good shape. We did have to tee off on the back which is a rude awakening to this course, but made the front 9 (our second 9) an even more welcome reprieve than usual. Played in just over 4 hours on a Monday afternoon with no waits on any shots. Practice green was recently punched, but minimal impact.
Overbooked, poor green conditions
Every time we played it’s over booked, four groups on one tee box. Green condition horrible, under repair we assumed. Food. It as good as it used to be, dried and very chewy sausages. Probably will stay away for a while.
Chippewa just gets better and better
Something's wrong with your star rating system today, golf now!
Five star course with two stars for pace of play. Friendly workers. Average shop.
app only let me give one stars but it's as I described above
Review:
Five Star Golf Course with very good value for your money. pitiful pace of play on the weekends.
This course is in excellent condition, actually better shape than many many private clubs. It's a perennial favorite of me in the area.
There are noticeable improvements since the last year and 2 years. In fact they're going to have a stay and play option.
Country club course, awesome condition
Really amazed at the course condition, from tee to green, as good as most country clubs I’ve played. Greens were just incredibly maintained and relatively flat so made putting consistent. Front nine just a bit more receptive to scoring, back nine will test your skill for sure. Look toward to playing again soon!
Slow pace
I went mid week mid day and the carts were backed up from the first hole. The course is well kept and holes range from par 3 to 5. I only played 9 and by the time I left there were 8 carts waiting at hole one. Two hours to play 9 holes. I would go back but hope the tee times are better.
SLOW PLAY, as always.
Guys that can'r walk fast should not be allowed to play golf. Guys that pull the pin to putt should not be allowed to play golf.
Nice course
Tough to rate as it was very very wet. Course tried to accommodate as best they could.
Too slow
I probably won't come back. It is always so painfully slow. The tee box area is run by kids and is total chaos, no communication whatsoever. I think someone just snuck in front of us No organization. Had a late tee time and because the course was over packed and so slow we only were able to play 16 holes before dark. This was not a good experience and I feel cheated.
