About
Located less than an hour from Seattle in Lakewood, Oakbrook Golf Club is one of the area's hidden gems. Opened in 1966 as a private club, the course opened its doors to the public in 2012. The course is known for its smooth, firm, and fast greens. The 6,700-yard layout plays both narrow and long but it is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. With hundreds of mature oak trees scattered throughout the course, accuracy is key. It's a course that rewards strategy rather than raw skill. One of Oakbrook Golf Club's toughest holes is the par-4 seventh, which you'll have to play from below since it's sloped steeply from top to bottom. The downhill shots and doglegs will put golfers of any skill level to the test.

Great course in superb condition
I have played this course several times before and it is always in great shape. Green are exceptional and the fairways are lush. Play this course !
Great conditions
This was our first time playing Oakbrook. The fairways and greens were in fantastic shape. Fairways were very trim and greens were super fast. The other person we were paired with said they played like the country clubs in Illinois. Course had lots of tight fairways and turns, which made less than driver the choice on a few holes. Most of the water in the original layout no longer exists (except for 13), but it’s one I would play again. Staff was also great.
Oak Brook for everyone
Played there multiple times. The course is well maintained and fairly easy course. Enjoyed playing with my son.
Nothing memorable
The course was in good shape but kind of non-descript. There were no standout or unique holes that you might want to play again. It was a good price and the pro shop staff was nice but too far out-of-the-way to want to return.
Overpriced course
Poor overall environment. Looked like a dying neighborhood which has no desire to revive itself
$20 golf per rider on a 20 year-old motor cart is just
not it. I rattled so bad on poorly maintained path
It feels like parts might be fallen out along the way.
It’s a dying club barely managed to the standard of
a muni. You can get better experience easily on
any other courses with less money. For example,
Home Course or Gold Mountain are much superior
And cost less and less pesky local “member” golfers who whom still think the course is their country club, we
are just a bunch of invading outsiders.
Great conditions, excellent greens
Entire course in great shape. Greens were perfect: fast and tricky.
