Golfer Reviews
Lookin good
The course continues to look good. There was some rain damage to bunkers, but they were being worked on. This is a really nice course to play.
Beautiful course
This was a beautiful course. Super fast greens but overall definitely worth the money. Only fault I have was the money you pay to play but no cart girl/boy. Better pack a cooler and drinks before you start your round.
Too expensive
The course was nice but not primo nice. It is a good layout but not worth $153 for 18 when the temp is in the high 90s. The pace of play was fine because few people were out playing. They gouge tourists and give a deal to locals even letting some local walkers start on #10 as we made the turn. One of the staff said the course has new ownership. I can see some improvement since a year ago but jacking the green feed by 50% is not the best way to grow their clientele. I doubt I will ever come back.
Improved
The course was very nice in appearance. Probably the best thing IO can say about it is that it compared well to the RTJ course at Magnolia/Mobile. The greens were fast, the fairways were in good shape except for one where the left side(actually rough) had bare spots. The carts were excellent and equipped with GPS that had mult features incl how far you hit the ball. The driving range balls are provided and the flag distances are marked so you don't have to use a range finder to measure distance during your warm up. The cart paths are in good shape and directions easy to follow. There is a nice restaurant upstairs and cart lady makes rounds on the course. Very nice set up.
Great Course
Wonderful round of golf at this gem of a course. Super friendly staff. The starter was best, he gave great advice for a first timer. Free range balls, with a really nice practice facility. Course conditions were top notch, fast true greens. Loved the golf carts which had distance to the flag. I highly recommend this course.
Hot Day
Course is in great shape, pace of play was wide open. Nice carts with gps screens. Overall a great day
Local Golfer really enjoys, Gulf Shores Country Club
The golf course is in excellent condition; From Tee box/sand traps/greens! The fairway’s is like hitting of carpet, professional kept quality. I would highly recommend this Golf course.

Nice course
The course itself was really nice. Greens were fast but overall as far as the course was concerned it was a good experience. The staff were also very nice.
My problem are some of the ignorant people on this course. The course reviews itself as anywhere from a beginner to expect type of layout. I am not the best golfer and don’t always hit the ball straight. I hit a ball that landed about 30 yards from a tee box that paralleled the hole we were playing and some old ignorant rich “country club” type jerk was on. I will keep my language appropriate. Apparently he didn’t like how close my ball came to the tee box so he walked down to my ball and hit it down the fairway. I watched him from my tee box and by the time I got up there this spineless jerk was no where to be found. Three other times we had our balls picked up by other jerks playing on the fairway right next to us. Two of them were on our side of the cart path. Since we are better people than these jerks we did nothing and finished our round. I guess when you play on an expensive course you have to deal with these jerks. Last time I will go there.
Great day on the course
Gulf Shores Golf Club was in great shape. Track is challenging enough but fair. Abundant water and traps, but playable. Carts with GPS were nice.
Excellent course
Fairways well groomed and greens were fast, smooth, putts held lines. Staff was very friendly & courteous. Will look to play again next time we vacation here.
Challenging Course
Very challenging course, well designed, and excellent condition! Would recommend to play if you’re around the gulf coast area!
Amazing Shape
Course was in excellent condition and pace of play was on point as well. I’d definitely recommend this course as a “Must Play” when in the Gulf Shores area!
Worth it
My son and I are playing as much as we can before he leaves for college. This course was top 5 that we’ve done so far. Staff was very down to earth and truly treated us like family. Greens were far better than most around our home. Beverage cart checked on us regularly. Just enough hazards to allow you to adjust but also not too many at the same time. Well worth the few hours we were there.
