Sunland Village East Golf Course
About
Nestled within a quiet retirement community, the Sunland Village East Golf Course is a great course for seniors and beginners. It is also a good course for golfers who want to work on their short game, especially practicing with short irons. The course, which is a mix of par 3s and par 4s, has a short layout that rewards good shots making it perfect for golfers who are intimidated by lengthier courses with par 5s. On this golf course, the longest hole is a modest 331 yards. The Sunland Village East Golf Course facility also had a full driving range.

Summer Time Golf - only front 9
Overall the course was in good condition but unfortunately the back nine was closed and I wasn't aware of that when I arrived and checked in to play. I only found out then I went to play the back nine and it was roped off. Ended up playing the front 9 twice. They do have a great summertime golf special of Unlimited golf and a meal for $39
Avoid SVE until the winter
Don't be tempted by the cheap price... The course is really dried out and lotsa of dead bare spots everywhere. Greens poor and the entire back 9 is closed (they didn't mention that when we bought the tee time or when we checked in.
Consequently you have to play the front 9 twice intertwined with people playing their back 9. Pace of play was really slow.
Great
The course was in good shape. The back 9 was closed but we were able to play the front twice. It was very well maintained. All in all a great experience!
Hidden reviews?
Why can't I see reviews on golf now?
Why would I write reviews when they can't be read?
Please fix this in the App especially!!!!
SVE is always the same(in a good way)!
The course is well kept and green grass grows on every fairway, tee box and putting greens.
You can count on this course being in good shape.
Spectacular shape!
This course is in better shape than any course I’ve played in the last two months- and I play 3 times a week. What a joy to have grass instead of dirt and rocks to hit off,
Year round Golfer
One of the few so-called affordable courses that
has decent grass. Relatively easy course. Unless you’re a member, you probably won’t get a tee time during the height of the winter season.
Nice Little Track
We only had time to play 9 and this course was a fun little retirement community track. Extremely short par 4’s and a lot of par 3’s. The staff was super friendly and the green were fast and in really good shape.
The only drawback was the pace of play. We were stacked up for the entire round with walkers in front of us and two foursomes in front of them. There was a ranger on the course but he did little to improve the pace of play. I guess this is to be expected in Arizona in the spring.
This was a fun course and I will look to play here again if I don’t have a lot of time.
