Golfer Reviews
Fun course but fairways need help
The course itself is decently challenging (maybe a bit too challenging for a > 35 handicap) and the location on the water with a breeze keeps it cool on a hot day. The fairways are in fair condition and could do with sodding and grooming. Be prepared to play around a lot of ducks and squirrels.
Horrific course conditions, high price
The course is in abominable condition and should be closed for repairs. I was wondering why there were so many open tee times on a Saturday and now I know why.
Course Improving Nicely
Have played Shoreline for about 35 years. Course gets a bad rap, some warranted and some players just hard to please. Today, their recent work on the greens and fairways have drastically improved. The greens were running great, fast and true. While fairways are spotty, they are certainly better than the past few years. The renovated #2 and #12 greens are in great shape.
Shoreline
Was a little slow for a mid-week round. 4.5 hours. Lots of walkers and lots of hacks. Greens were in good shape, fairways not bad a few brown spots. Price was OK. No cart girl.
Not great
The course has potential, but in its current state is not worth playing for over $50. The course is not maintain very well and is not in great condition.
If only there was alot less wind
1st time playing this course. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy it very much. Weather was nice but very windy. Hard to control any shot. Tons of ground squirrels and flocks of Canadian geese made fairways nearly the same quality as the second/third cuts. Lies were very uneven throughout the course. Grounds crews can't do much about this because the course has many protected areas and theres just too many animals everywhere. Just wasn't very fun to play. Sorry.
Great afternoon walking alongside some nice folks
First time on the course.
Had great time
A bit Too slow for me . … 4 hours 40 minutes.
So actually not horrible
Overcharged for round
The price quote from GolfNow to play at Shoreline was $108. Two players with cart. I was charged $138. I didn’t notice until I saw my bank account charge.
Pace Slow Lack of Marshall’s
Tee’d off at 710 am expecting to finish in under 4 hours. By the 6th hole group in front of us was almost three holes behind. Had to call the pro shop to get someone out to do something about slow play. Groups were backing up. Round too 4 hours and 45 minutes. For the amount being charged they need to have a starter out in first tee setting expectations along with Marshals monitoring the groups teeing off before 8am to improve pace of play.
Nice day
Always fun playing here course is looking good something’s still need addressing to like the bridge to hole one. Plus to get to back nine needs some work and update the cares would be nice. Other then that had a good time would definitely one back.
