Home of the 3 groups on every tee
The clubhouse is stunning
We were told they just Redid a bunch of the course All now traps and some sections of fairway. I was thinking great until the starter said we cant play in the traps or on new ground. Off we went in brand new GPS carts 3 groups deep at the 1st tee and 3 kids walking directly in front of us. and kids on a teaching lesson in front of them.
The carts just start beeping if you are anywhere within 40 feet of any hazard or green. They are awful i shut the GPS off. I would rather guess the yardage then have that thing beeping at me when a i am using the 90 degree rule and nowhere near any hazard or green. Its a tale of 2 courses The first few holes are a shooting gallery the next few should be called the drainage ditch of Taylor then it opens up to a really pretty layout and very nice and the best hole is the finish. After our 5:45 min round i found out they sell tee times ever 8 min ( Hence the backups ) .
I played it so i never have to again
Starter with a attitude
I arrived at the course about 20 minutes before my 8:44 a.m. tee time. I booked as a solo and expected to be paired with three other golfers, which was perfectly fine.
After paying for my round, the pro shop forgot to give me the key to my cart, so I had to go back inside to get it. Once I finally had the cart, I put my bag on it and headed straight to the first tee without even taking time to organize my clubs. At that point it was around 8:38 a.m., so I knew I still had plenty of time to make my tee time.
As I was driving toward the first tee—which is only a short distance from the cart area—an older gentleman suddenly ran out in front of my cart with his hand up, signaling me to stop. I assumed he was the starter. He immediately asked for my name and then said, "You're with those guys who are already teeing off!" Keep in mind it was only 8:38, six minutes before my scheduled tee time.
I responded, "Yeah, that's not a problem." He looked down at his clipboard and continued explaining the course rules for the day. I waited for him to finish, but before he was done he abruptly told me to go to the tee box and again repeated that I was with the group already teeing off.
The entire interaction was unnecessary. There was no delay, I wasn't late, and this could have been handled with a simple, respectful conversation. Instead, I was met with an attitude from the moment I arrived at the tee. Starters are often the first impression golfers have of a course, and a little professionalism and courtesy go a long way. I would simply remind the staff that customer service is just as important as keeping play moving.
Great course for the money
I think this is a beautiful golf course and a very good value. We played later in the day so we got the discounted rate, but it only cost $120 for 2 people to play 18 with a cart. The course is very well maintained and beautiful. It is also very challenging. My only complaint is that we were paired with another twosome who were kind of clueless and slow. We had to let other twosomes play through, which was annoying. Being paired up is my least favorite aspect of playing public courses....

Hello I am the Director of Golf,
I’m sorry you had a bad experience. I teach a program called PGA Hope for veterans and adult learn to golf classes on Thursday afternoons. It is something we are very proud of and is a great opportunity to grow the game. Occasionally I will take them on the golf course to demonstrate a scramble format for a hole. It is an easier/more fun way to play the game as you’re learning. Under no circumstances do we allow groups larger than 4 or block multiple tee times to accommodate any group. Golf courses regularly put blocks in their tee sheet to create “catch up” times or buffers to improve pace of play. I’m not sure how you got access to our tee sheet to see additional blocks but I’d be happy to show you next time you come in that we never put multiple blocks in front of individual tee times. I apologize for getting upset when you came up to our group and started yelling instead of simply asking to play thru or have us move out of the way. There was nobody behind us late in the evening when we jumped to an open hole. In you are interested in joining our PGA Hope program you can do so by joining using this link…

Our next session starts at the end of the month. We value everyone’s feedback positive or negative to always make improvements to our overall experience. We’re happy to say all of the golf course renovations are complete and the course is in great shape!
Best public course downriver
If you're looking for a great course to play downriver this is your course. The greens are pretty fast and challenging but play very true throughout the entire round. Very creative layout with quite a few holes with stunning views. 17th hole if one of my favorite holes to play in Michigan with a risky water side green. The practice facility is the best around as well with a great driving range, putting green, and even a short game range that provides 2 separate short game holes with 4 different pins to shoot at from every type of lie in the game. The staff is great as well, always very knowledgeable of the course and friendly. Received lessons from Golf Director Alec who assessed my swing and made some minor adjustments that have made a nice impact on my game. I really liked that he didn't try to COMPLETELY change my swing. The City of Taylor is currently putting more money into the course as well and I can't wait to see the results when they're finished.
You must visit this course!
This course is superb. They are putting money into the course. Redesigning bunkers and real junior tee boxes. The sand was great! The bunkers and fairways and greens were pristine. The rough was a good height as well. Thanks to the staff for an enjoyable day.
Wait at least another month
Only 9 holes are open. A couple here, a few there. 9 totally random holes. You might get told about 90° only. Then you might get yelled at cart path only. They're updating sand traps. But for the pace of play, the cost and the ridiculousness jumping around the entire course they should be ashamed to be charging anything right now. There's nothing on their website to explain this. I overlooked that I only booked for nine on a golf now deal. But golf now should not even be offering this. And I had to drive nearly an hour to get there and find this out. Worst part is that could have gotten 18 in easily anywhere else when I booked this over a week ago
9 holes only till mid June 2026
The Course is under construction till mid Jume 20296 9 holes playable and you'll need to.bounce around to play nine holes. Once completed it will be the couse to play in 2026. Its going to be beautiful. Sand traps will be plush
Good course
There are some beat up tee boxes, but could’ve been from a tournament just prior to my tee time. Some hard ground spots by a couple of the greens. Difficult and long course. I would play here again.
Great course
Although there was patches of dirt on the greens it’s an overall great course. If you’re reading this FIX YOUR DIVOTS!!
Slowest pace of play
Played 11 holes through 4 hours and left. Worst pace of play ever.
