About
Westridge Golf Club is a challenging layout designed by Robert Muir Graves, a familiar name in California golf. Graves has designed many of the state's most popular courses including Boundary Oak in Walnut Creek and Quail Lodge Golf Club in Carmel. At just under 6,450 yards, Westridge G.C. is seemingly short but what it lacks in length it makes up for with more than 60 sand bunkers strategically placed alongside the narrow fairways and sloping greens. There are also some holes that offer interesting risk-reward opportunities for adventurous big hitters. The elevation changes throughout provide difficult uphill and downhill shots that will depend almost entirely on proper club selection. Water hazards also come into play on four holes. The golf course finishes with a dramatic par 5 that plays downhill against the winds to a rolling fairway and then into a fiercely protected green.

1st time experience (lol)
So for the first time in my short 6 years playing golf we had 4 groups on one hole. 5 hour round on a Friday afternoon. Only good thing about this round was the group we had awesome people.
Course is in poor condition
This was always one of my favorite courses- but haven’t played it in several years.
The condition of the course is not good. Fairways are sparse with different grasses growing- much of it crabgrass. The ground under can be sandy or hard packed- you don’t know until you hit.
The bunkers are in terrible shape. Nice sand- but not raked. Twice I hit the bottom fabric lining of the trap. This resulted in skulled shots.
The rough is very erratic and the ground is rock hard. It’s hard to get any flight in the ball.
The greens were OK- but lots of bald spots.
I hate to see this nice of a course in this condition.

Nice course, but needs maintenance to improve
Lots of unrepaired fairway, divots, tons of divots on the greens that were unrepaired grass was a bit inconsistent in parts of tea boxes, and fairways.
Course needs watering especially fairways
Conditions not good. Fairways are dry with dry dirt in many areas. Bunkers are concrete.
