Heritage Harbor
About
The Heritage Harbor Golf Club measures nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees and is one of the more challenging public course layouts in the Tampa Bay area. Four sets of tees have been incorporated into the design, making the course fun for golfers of all skill levels. The swirling winds and strategically located bunkers will play havoc with the players of these finely manicured links. However, the large greens may provide some relief. The premium on the championship course has been placed mainly on the short game. Winding through natural areas and cypress heads, Heritage Harbor Golf Club offers many scenic, unobstructed views. Seven of the eighteen holes have no homesites adjacent to the fairways, offering great, uncluttered golf.

Nice Day at Heritage HarborbGolf
WARM DAY, but very nice pace of play with two players I met there. Both were very good playing partners. Staff was also very helpful. Enjoyed my round and will play there again.
Greens terrible
Most of the greens were in terrible shape. Bumpy, mangey and just dirt in some places.
Greens were I bad shape
I understand drought conditions have been bad, but the greens were so dry, most of them barely had grass. Which makes for a nightmare when putting. I hope this was only do to the lack of rain.
Needs water
Nice layout, but as of mid June the course conditions, we’re not good. Needs rain and irrigation desperately.
Getting better after punch out maintenance
Grass is growing in after lots of maintenance. Will be back soon. Course has a fun layout and people we meet are very friendly. Got to give it a try. Got caught in the 15 minutes of rain. Then all good
Potential
Place has amazing potential to be a great course but needs some work.
Enjoyable Round
We are in drought conditions in this part of Florida. The conditions will improve with rain. The staff is friendly and the restaurant staff were great!
Great course with a great layout and excellent conditions. Staff was very friendly when checking in and the driving/chipping area is also in great condition for the year. Only complaint was that we only saw the cart girl twice the whole round. Still a great round.
Disgrace
Everything about this course was terrible! I’ve played this many times in the past, yet now this place is a disgrace to the sport. Not only were all the greens dead, but also fairways, and if there was any grass (in the rough), it looked like it hasn’t been attended to in months. At the turn, we stopped in for a beverage to possibly cope with this nightmare, and the bartender wouldn’t even provide ice, she said it was the course policy not the bars, and was very rude. The pace of play was also horrible, usually I’ll try and find something positive when I’m stranded on a golf course in this condition, but I really couldn’t find one thing acceptable. Even the cart girl (when she showed-up), was on the 9th and 18th holes, didn’t make sense, since the clubhouse was right there. Oh yeah, and they charge 70$, i wouldn’t play here if they paid me. Please don’t waster your time and money, it seems whoever is managing this place wants it to go under.
Not worth the money
The course has a great layout, but there is minimal grass, a lot of dirt, the greens are tiny and beat up.
Worst golf in Tampa - dog track
Way overpriced for a course that is horribly maintained. Stay clear.
Heritage Harbor
My brother lived in the subdivision and I’ve always wanted to play this course. I finally did. For the money it was worth it. I enjoyed it. Not busy at all.
Value
Great course, challenging but not frustrating. Excellent conditions and value. Highly recommend.
Nice course!
The fairways were dry with a lot of dead grass spots due to the drought. I enjoyed the course layout. Can’t wait to go back after we get some rain!
Drought stricken fairways
Fairways are in poor condition due to the ongoing Florida drought. Lies are really tight with a lot of exposed sandy soil. Greens are sanded which makes putting unpredictable. Tee boxes are also in less than desirable condition.
