The Groves Golf and Country Club

Nice layout with a challenging play across the whole course.

Very short course. Good for dog legs left and right. Good iron and accuracy practice. Greens and fairways were in good shape,!

This is my second time playing at the groves and each time I’ve done out it turns into a parking lot jam with all of the golfers waiting at the tees to hit. We ended up having to jump 2 holes just to get out of that traffic jam of golfers. This 20 minute gap between golfers is a terrible thing. My son and I would like to play a course where. We don’t have 4 carts waiting at a hole to tee off. Just makes the outing worthless. The groves is overcrowded and the pace of play is slower than molasses going up hill in the winter time.

We won’t be back ever again.

The house is in great shape for the kind of weather we are having. The greens are super fast, but in very nice shape. I had one of the restaurants hot dogs. It was one of the best hot dogs i have ever had. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great value for the money.

Over-seed looks nice and the greens are in great shape right now. Pace of play is slow but it’s a gimmicky layout so that will happen.

Great play for the price on a HD.

Rangers are needed on course to assist in pace of play, and to discourage some people from acting like fools in the golf carts. It’s beginning to become the norm to see stupid behavior and really

slow pace of play.

Used to be a great short course for a fair price. Now the conditions are getting much worse with much higher cost of playing. Last time we played without any warning, the 14th hole was completely closed and 15 and 16 tee boxes were playing from the dormant Bermuda rough in front of the red tees. Feels like they need a complete reset to get this place back to where it was. Not worth playing anytime soon without a hot deal

One hole was shut down and two others had temporary boxes. Fairways were good for a tight course.

Overall, the course was in really good shape except for the 14th hole was completely closed down and there was no notice or notification given at the clubhouse. We had to find out when we got to the hole.

It is definitely overpriced for being such a small course, but it made up for it by being in excellent condition, except for hole 14th of course

Except for two holes basically out of service and no heads up, the course is one of the best maintained around.

Great condition other then hole 14 was being worked on .

The fairways and greens were in decent condition, but that alone doesn’t justify a $52 price tag for a short course with an unplayable hole. Hole 14 was under construction, and this was not disclosed when I booked my tee time.

We were also paired with a member whose constant, unsolicited commentary on club selection and shot decisions made the round unnecessarily frustrating and detracted from the overall enjoyment of the game.

Between the course limitations and an overall experience that didn’t reflect the cost, this round fell well short of expectations. There are better values and more enjoyable playing experiences available elsewhere.

Have played this course a dozen times. The greens are almost always excellent. I like the mix of par 3 & 4 holes. It takes playing the 18th hole a few times to learn the proper strategy . Don't try to overpower course. Pace of play was excellent on day we played.
