Plantation Palms Golf Club
About
Plantation Palms Golf Club, designed by David Harman, provides every Tampa golfer with a challenging and rewarding golf experience. The links-style design starts with a welcoming par 5, and then slowly steps up with a mixture of strong par 3s. Just 10 minutes north of Tampa, this course was carved a 400-acre citrus grove that slopes from west to east, providing interesting elevation changes. Water is in play on 17 of 18 holes. Plantation Palms Golf Club has an attractive framing of greens by the use of pine trees, water and large snow-white sand traps. The true-rolling elevated greens have good movement and are a challenge for golfers.

Solid shape nice geeens
Glad the person bought and did the right thing it’s a nice little track great deal
Overall a solid course
The course has come a long way from its days of total rebuild. I think they have done a great job of keeping the greens smooth and consistent. I constantly saw maintenance workers doing upkeep work on the course. Rough was a little long and at times had a difficult time finding our ball. But overall I thought it was great value. I will be back again.
course conditions are poor
Their greens are better than average for a public course. They fairways are OK at best. The rough, including the areas around the green are terrible. Mud base with tall weeds growing out of it. Every lie off the fairway the ball is laying on wet mud with 3 inch tall weeds growing out of it. i will not play this course again until conditions dramatically improve.
Soggy but fun
Had a great time. Course is in decent shape. Green in good shape. Soggy/muddy in some spots. Pace was slow, but only because it was cart path only. Layout is great. Got a great deal on Groupon, highly recommended!!
Local Golf Course
A good layout for all level golfers. Course was very wet today but was well maintained.
Nice greens
Overall the course was in decent shape. The greens were decently fast and rolled true. Decent layout making it a shot makers course. The course desperately needs sand in bunkers and a few bare spots mainly near the greens. I couldn't believe no water coolers on the course especially in Florida. The water was at the turn or buy it from the cart girl, but we only saw her on the 15th hole!! The staff was very friendly.
Plantaion Palms
I almost hate to put a review out there! This course is a nice little hidden gem! We play here at lest once a month. Course is in great shape, the greens are nearly perfect, for the money...the best couse in the Tampa area in my humble opinion!
Course was in good shape, greens were nice and evenly cut semi fast. No cart paths this early in the season before it truly rains made the course play longer and with the humidity and heat made the round exhausting. Try 90 degree rule on such a torturous day. Other than the course rules, I enjoyed the layout and would play there anytime if the price is right for my budget.
Quality course
Enjoyed the round. Golf course was in good shape for the lack of water we’ve had. Staff was very friendly and the pace was quick. Definitely would go back.
Always like this course because of it's condition upkeep and amenities. I was not aware of recent aeration but not too bad. More disappointed with cart restrictions on holes that shouldn't have been. Someone must recheck this during the day as it makes it a less enjoyable experience, especially for the older golfers.
Great Experience
From being met by friendly outside teams, to being made welcome in the pro shop, first impressions were terrific. That didn’t change throughout my day. Bartender was also very friendly. Seems the atmosphere created by leadership is really taken to heart. My second round the next day was very similar. Louis the starter put me with 2 friendly members when my original group no showed. Both days were great experiences.
GREAT call on the carts, I get totally frustrated by them as well!! it would help if they'd just put some makers up??
