Halifax Plantation

I had heard the course was failing. Actually there were some bad spots on most of the greens bad not terrible. Hopefully they will address the areas before the greens get really bad..

Overall a well designed and fun to play course. The fairways and most greens were in great condition.

Needs a Little more TLC:

-most Tee Boxes needed grass touch up, but were very usable

-Some greens needed outer edge work

-Putting practice green was closed all day😞

There were very few little things that kept me from giving this course a 5 in every category; It is a great place to take friends and visitors to show off what a good Florida course looks like👍😊

Tee boxes need to be mowed shorter and some major TLC.

Fairways is decent condition.

Greens are very slow and show some bald patches, even though they just aerated recently.

Overall nice course to play, always have ealry available tee times, I'll be back

The layout is actually decent with some good holes. The staff is excellent and very friendly. I thought the course condition was awful. The greens were a combination of dirt or sand patches, burned out, or where there was grass it was long and so terribly slow. The tee boxes had grass (if you want to call it that) so long that it was hard to tee up. The fairways were not great but the best of the 3. Maybe my expectations were higher because it looks like a very nice community and the area was nice. We had a terrible day at the course but maybe it was just a bad time of year.

Let me start with the positive. Staff was great! They are very proactive about getting you on the course quickly! Bar and restaurant is veteran proud and staff/service was great as well as food/cocktail’s were amazing.

A couple of things were negative. No cart girl on the course ever! Also, putting greens are in horrible condition!

This isn’t a negative but I’ve been playing golf regularly domestically and internationally for over 15+ years & over 100+ different courses, I’ve never seen 7+ tee boxes per hole like this course.

The course conditions were horrible, every single tee box was like playing in someone’s backyard, the greens were full of sand patches. The only thing that was half decent was the fairways. Will never play that course again.

It is a shame how this course has deteriorated. Most green have fungus and many tee boxes are bad. Back 9 is slightly better than the front.

Won't be playing here again until they get things under control.

This is 1st time playing here in a while. I must say I was very disappointed with the greens and tee box. Every green had fungus and almost impossible to putt without moving the ball to fungus free area. Tee boxes had little to no grass. This course used to be very good but apparently they need a new head greenskeeper to fix the problem. It was not worth $44.

Fairways and tee boxes are good the greens have some large areas of no grass

I have watched the course deteriorate to the point where there is no reason to play it. The greens are a disaster, the grass not cut, the fairways sparse, carts are is need of repair ( ours had no brakes).

I would find someplace else to play

Tee boxes were very overgrown and need some TLC.

Unfortunately they had punched and sanded the greens last week, which should have been mentioned during booking on Golf Now or the pro shop.

Otherwise a pleasant experience, would return again.

Have not played thus course for a few months as the fairways were bad and the greens were getting bad . They have improved the the fairways and are working on the greens. Thank goodness for that because I really like the place and do want it to be a go to course.

Overall, the course was in really good shape. The only reason I’m not giving it a five is because some of the greens need some work, but everything else was great. I would definitely recommend this course.

Started playing Halifax Plantation during family vacation over 30 years ago. Layout is great and memories are even better. Greens rolled good, but had some bad spots. Still recommend!
