Beautiful long distance views from much of the course. Photo submitted by TatayG on 05/09/2018
Really Fun Course
I always enjoy playing at Mill Creek! It offers a fun yet challenging layout. Staff was friendly. We played on a humid day with threats of T-showers all day. It was a miracle we didn't get rained on. Play this course and you won't be disappointed.
Favorite in Rochester, NY
Course was in Beautiful Condition, the pace of play was perfect for my early morning round, and the greens are rolling true and fast. This is my favorite Rochester course and I will keep coming back again and again even though it's a 40+ minute drive. Highly Recommend!
Nice day on the course
Everything from the tees to the fairways/rough to the greens were in good shape. This is my first round of the year here this year (haven’t been able to play much) so I didn’t know what to expect especially after the super hot weather we’re coming off of. The only thing of note were a couple of fairway bunkers (# 7 & 13) that had rocks in them.
Beautiful Layout
Great course (except for the 18th hole). A bit of a disappointing finishing hole to an amazing course. But, overall it was a great course in pretty good condition with spectacular views. Great piece of property that was developed nicely into a challenging golf course. The guy in the golf shop could be a bit more welcoming. It seemed like we were interrupting his day.
Fantastic as Always
Mill Creek is my favorite Rochester area course! The course was in excellent condition, had superb fairways, and greens rolled true. Staff were friendly and professional. I drove 40 minutes to get here and it was worth every minute. Only wish I lived closer as I would be happy to join here and be a member at Mill Creek.
Greens sanded and aerated
Greens sanded and aerated, would wait if you're trying to work short game
Great day on the course
I always recommend playing Mill Creek. The course is very challenging with elevation changes, elevated greens, a links style with plenty of heather - just a different type course than the usual NE course with tight, tree lined fairways.
Course is drying out
The drought conditions are catching up with the course. Many areas of the rough are hard pan and taking a divot there just creates a cloud of dust. The greens are very firm and rolling well. Given the greens are being watered the rough around them can be challenging since it's growing as compare to other areas of the course. I hope that we get some rain so that the rough isn't lost.
More water please.
Course conditions were very dry. Forgot my hammer to get the tees in the ground. Overall the layout was challenging but disappointing because of the dryness.
Course is in good shape
I had a pleasant day with three people that I met on the course. The only suggestion that I have is to cut back the grass in the “old bunker” on the left side #11 fairway at the bottom of the hill. I would rather hit out of the heather than that gnarly grass. It’s the type that you can hurt yourself hitting out of.
Great course, play it more than once
Very difficult course, in fine condition considering the weather. It would take several rounds to learn. Even at that, the greens are highly contoured and there must be a plethora (always wanted to use that word in a golf review) of possible pins, often dramatically changing approach strategy. I wish I could play it a few more times.
