Lochwinnoch Golf Club

Course sits on a hill, I did expect a few slopes but this course is a challenge on the back nine which had a few severe slopes and was a challenge for me at my old age. A few puffs and pants and I was there, electric trolly helped!

Course was fantastic, in great condition, very good postage stamp sized greens, a challenge to hit. A few tee positions are incredibly well placed and add to the course’s difficulty.. Met by a club member/official and asked to start earlier if we wanted to avoid a group of young adults, appreciated that,

I’m a 18 hcp and shot a 84, my son a 3 hcp shot 6 under par.

A brilliant day with a few tough hills but worth every penny. Will we return - yes we will.

Well kept fairways,greens and most tee boxes. The course is a bit all over the place and you find your self heading back the way to start the next hole at times.

Very hilly course what makes for a slower pace on foot, 100% recommend a golf cart to enjoy the day more.

Very annoying with club house absolutely deserted, no facilities available to wash hands or use the toilet before or after the round. Of course also ment no 19th hole or even a chance to replenish water after full round in near 30 degrees heat. Not impressive on that side sorry to say.

Good course, but hills test you. Sign would be good at point. Showing you the way. Play it. 👍

This was my fist time playing this course and if I lived closer I’d love to be a member. Fairways were in excellent condition as were the greens. A testing parkland course with plenty of opportunities to challenge your ability. Only thing that might put some off is how hilly it is. Not a bother to the 4 of us who played but might be too much for some. Excellent value for money as well, I’ve paid more for worse condition courses, this was a feeling felt throughout the group. I’ll definitely be back and look forward to it.

Not bad at all for £20. Clubhouse was closed so we just wandered on, us and one other group on the course on a Sunday morning. Opening hole is excellent, next 3 very nice too. After that it gets a bit repetitive slogging it bqck and forth across the hill, thought the par 3’s are good. 17-18 are great holes. Fair enough condition given the rain. Would play again.

Great course good lay out. Bit hilly but really enjoyable course

Pleasantly surprised how good a course Lochwinnoch Golf Club is. The course was in fantastic condition. Greens ran true. Not for the faint hearted though as after the Par 3 8th. It's hard going if your walking. Really enjoyed it though and will be back the the Open next year. 👌

If your older or have a sore back I would recommend the electric carts it's very hilly but great course to play on

Booked through GN for a bargain price and it was worth every penny. The course was in beauitiful condition with lush green fairways and amazing greens. The course played long for me, although I have only just started playing and do not hit it that far, but it did not stop me. A number of holes where you play across other fairways which was fun and intersting. Is on the hilly side though (is a warning sign during the round about it) so be prepared. Some really great holes and one not to be missed. May be one of the best value course about.

Beautiful course with cracking views over Lochwinnoch lots of quirky difficult holes bit of a climb from the 8th till the 16th but very enjoyable

Played on a Sunday the pro shop was closed but one of the local members help me out with a score card

I would definitely recommend this course but to be aware of the climb from the 8th

Very good course a good variety of different types of holes wee bit hilly in parts but only struggled on two of the holes would recommend a cart or a trolley at least if you’re unfit apart from that no complaints very well looked after course, good greens and got it for a great price would recommend

They told me hilly but now I know why on saying that now that I know what to expect I would play again enjoyed my game

Enjoyed my game today a solo golfer the starter started me on the 3rd tee to overtake a four ball just teeing off then finish off play the 1st and 2nd .They told me it was hilly but I was taken aback just how hilly.On saying that I would play again as I know what to expect friendly staff

Can't say too much about the course. Due to worsening weather and inappropriate clothes we gave up at the ninth. But I'll comment on what we saw. The first nine holes were a challenge because of the weather conditions, even my low handicap partner found it challenging. The wind direction made play interesting . In saying that will try to play again on a better day

The course is in great condition, the greens were receptive and ran true. Saw very few staff but were very helpful. There's no bar service on certain days at the moment so as well to check if that's important to you . Definitely need a sat nav to get there!
