Old Course Ranfurly Golf Club

This is first time we’ve played this course and it was in superb condition, fairways were very good and greens were true, pretty hilly in some parts and a good variety of holes to play, last five holes are pretty quirky and we’ll enjoy them when we play the course again now we know how they play. Overall we had a great day, kitchen didn’t open until 1100 so we missed out on the obligatory bacon roll before we teed off but the bar was open and they have a coffee machine and selection of cakes. The staff and other members were very friendly and we will definitely be back.

First time playing the course. Really nice layout. Some challenging hilly holes. tee boxes, greens and fairways were in excellent condition. Some slow groups in front which happens. However, a Two ball in front appeared to be a lesson. Was hitting 5 and 6 off the tee. Spraying them all over the place then going and looking for them. Wasn’t for letting us play through. Held us up quite a bit.

From arrival I was met by friendly staff and members throughout the day. The course is a little hilly, but some fantastic views and each hole was different each time, offering some interesting challenges, but highly enjoyable.

Really friendly people and the course is challenging but fantastic. Will definitely return thanks.

There was a lot of unique holes on the course which I really liked and the clubhouse was nice inside too

Course was a mix of 2 or 3 quirky holes that it is worth checking out if poss beforehand and the rest good and fair challenges. Great condition.

Played as a 4 ball and course was in near perfect condition in late April. Greens very fast.

No pro shop but helped by a very kind member before we started who explained a few nuances of the course with a few blind tee shots. Helped very much and a big thanks to the gent who shared his local knowledge.

Very scenic course and would 100% play this course again without question.

Thoroughly enjoyed the course,layout was a bit confusing near the end but some really excellent par 3s and greens were very good for time of year. General manager and staff were great ambassadors for the club and couldn't have been more helpful. Couple of members we met were friendly so overall come and play the course.

My second time playing this course, club house amenities are great, staff very friendly. Course is well signed on tees. Only down side was a few tee boxes were played off mats, considering recent good weather I'd have hoped this wouldn't have been needed. Few slower groups ahead but that's nothing the club can affect. I highly recommend playing this lovely course.

Great test. Lots of blind holes. Those last 4, up and down, in and out of ravines are quite a challenge.

Lovely looking course, just about every hole you're playing blind.

Without a few pointers from members we would have been lost on more than one occasion.
