Kirkistown Castle Golf Club

We had an excellent round of golf at Kirkistown, the weather was superb and the course was in great condition - very enjoyable. The only downside was that the bar wasn’t open for a cold beer afterwards but understandable on a Monday afternoon.

I would definitely recommend it.

My friend and I played Kirkistown yesterday and as he isn’t Golf Ireland we were glad of the great deal on Golf Now. We were lucky with the weather and had great fun on an interesting but playable layout that has no 2 holes the same. The greens were in great condition, rolling beautifully. We hope to be back soon.

Wind was almost unplayable but the course superb as usual, Niall top man, group of Canadians in behind us, would love to know what they thought of a gem of a track

This is a beautiful course beside the sea ,longish links ,the wind will play a big part depending when your against it ,turning a friendly course into calamity at a moments notice ,best to lay up before the greens as they are fast but you can score on this course if you put the ball dropping just before the greens as alot of them you cant go for pins ..theres a good few bunkers strategically placed to upset but it being links you can also get alot of distance on drives too...all in all a great test and beautiful scenery..

Took my son down for the day. Hired a buggy Sun was out. Great experience.

Staff were welcoming. Even talked to a few members out on the course. All very friendly.

We will definitely be back.

Had the pleasure of playing this course on New year's Day and was blown away (figuratively and literally). Greens were lightning fast and true and excellent layout made for a great day out. For anyone looking to get themselves to a true links course this Winter this course is an absolute must!

I caught the links during a drought, which made the fairways as crispy as a McDonalds french fry. I wanted to love it, but I just couldn't fully embrace its quirks. Some of those greens sit atop hills 3 and 4 stories high, making them nearly impossible to reach. The first and 18th hole share the same fairway making for an awkward transition to start and end the round. It's worth a look if you're based in Belfast for a few days, but I'm not sure if American golfers tracking down the best Irish links should go out of their way to find it.

Had high hopes for the course based off the reviews and above average green fee. Left extremely disappointed, course badly kept and generally untidy. Extortionate green fees that can be justified ! Won’t be back.

Played for first time, great course, great condition including greens tee boxes and bunkers. Highly recommended for a links round of golf. Some elevated tee shots and also 2 hard elevated greens holes.

Best course to play in Northern ireland during the winter months - got a hole in one on the 14th to!

Having booked on GolfPass and got a green fee for £25, it was always going to be a good deal. However, the deal got better the more holes we played. Having never played this course before, it was a gem to behold. The course was in amazing condition, and we were welcomed by name (however the Pro Shop guessed it) as we walked through the door. Each hole was a serious challenge, with a strong wind and natural links grass. It a course you really have to plan your way around and the big stick is often best left in the bag. Can't wait to get our and play it again. Well done to all involved in the club.

Busy course on a Sunday as expected but pace of play was good

Only thing we struggled with was understanding holes 1 and 18 using same fairway, sounds strange but it works, first time here was tough to not laugh at confusion but explained to us very well by pro shop worker.

Brilliant course with some great views. Will definitely be returning for a round soon.
