Bright Castle Golf Club

Family were holidaying in Newcastle so my son and I wanted a few courses to play during the week. Took a chance on Bright Castle and we were so glad we did as this is really a fantastic course, full of intriguing holes in a beautiful setting.

The weather was very week for the first 4 holes, which were a great start to the round with some spectacular scenery, especially on the 2nd green with a view right alone the coastline. All of the holes feel unique which made a nice change from a lot of parkland courses.

Overall I would highly recommend this course to anyone and the green fees are incredibly good value given the standard of the course, I personally can't wait to return.

I enjoyed my first time playing here; it’s one of those courses though that you need to play again. The layout of the course is very disjointed and there are some long walks between green and tee. The scenery on the first couple of holes is fantastic. The greens are quite small and on the day I was there, they were very fast. The course was great value for money.

Very well looked after course and for the prices it’s really worth just might find it difficult to find a space to park

I played on the worst possible day of the summer. Heavy rain coming down sideways! However the course condition was excellent. Greens were fast and true and fairways in great nick. Could do with better signage between holes for those that don’t know the course. Guy in the shop was friendly and accommodating when one of my group was running late

It's a well maintained course very clean and the fairways was really good would play it again and again

Course was in good condition, great views on some holes. Lots of small greens and interesting hole layouts. Great value for money.

Greens - There were some inconsistencies with green conditions, some greens were fast whilst some were holding.

Fairways- They need a wee cut in most places

Lovely and challenging long course. I enjoyed myself and will definitely come back again.
