About
Callahan Golf Links in Waleska possesses a rich history of more than 150 years of farming and family ownership. Before being converted into a golf course, the site functioned as a farm from the Civil War until World War II. When creating the course, the natural beauty of the landscape was carefully preserved. As its name would suggest, the layout is a true links design with carefully placed pot bunkers and thick cuts of rough. Water is barely present but there are plenty of other challenges throughout that will quickly make you forget that fact. It is gentle enough for beginners but the back tees will challenge more experienced players. Golfers can also work on their short game on the chipping and putting greens or warm up on the driving range. The affordable rates make Callahan Golf Links an excellent value.

There Gps system on there carts leave much to be desired. There carts stop you way before the no carts signs.

Very good no frills course
Callahan is an extremely good course for the price.
Staff is friendly, but leaves you alone they don't put on any song and dance. Course always in respectable shape. Great views.
Same issues everytime
Continue to complain about the carts' geofence, the pace of play is horrible. They had a sixsome on the course holding up the game. It's constant; there is no marshalling of the course. The course backs up and the starters keep sending golfers off number 1 and just backing up. Could spread out the golfers during the busy times and start on 10. The course is in good shape but they need better management.

Amazing course, closest thing you'll get to links style golf in GA.
Geotracking and Customer Service
Called the clubhouse and got routed to the India call center and sat on hold for 10 min. waiting to tell someone that cart Geotracking was messed up. When we finally got someone on the phone for them to act like we did something wrong. The course is in good shape but the slow pace and the geotracking errors need to examined and fixed.
Very good value overall
Decent layout, greens were immaculate and rolled well. Very good value, I will definitely return. My only complaint is the height of the secondary rough. It is simply way too high - like 2 feet plus when we played. You will not find a ball in there. Given the attractive price point, this course will attract higher handicap golfers who will encounter the rough more frequently, which only adds frustration, needless expense in lost balls, and slows pace of play.
Excellent greens
Callahan Golf Link greens are in excellent shape. Probably the best in the area. You won't be disappointed.
Please put red white and blue flags on the green indicating pen placement
Nice day at Callahan’s. The staff were friendly checking in and the starter had us teeing off on time. The course is in good condition and the greens are rolling nicely. The bunkers need a little attention but as long as you’re not in there, you’d be OK. I wish they would use red white and blue flags on the pan indicating pin position. The GPS is good but when you can’t drive on the fairway it leaves a little to be desired. I would recommend this course to anyone in the area.
Cart Path Only
We found that all the Cart Path Only holes were perfectly Dry and it did slow up play
In great shape compared to other courses nearby
Course is in better shape than most in my experience this summer. Slower greens but very well maintained. Pace of play was fine.
Excellent set up and value
Love the course and is an excellent value. Friendly staff, solid amenities. Well worth the visit. Definitely be back
