Lake Arrowhead Yacht & Country Club - Highlands Course

The staff and the ProShop was professional and polite. They quickly gave us the layout of amenities and help us get to the first hole quickly. From Tee box to the greens the course was immaculate. Beware of hole 5, highly unusual and yet fun! There’s something to be said about mountain golf and I really do enjoy it! Definitely planning a return trip, Northern Georgia is beautiful this time of year and the price is unbelievable particularly if you can get a “hot deal“. If you see it in the app book it and enjoy your day.

Lake Arrowhead is showing off right now — healthy fairways, really solid greens, and some incredible elevation and lake views throughout the course.

I found a great Hot deal on GolfNow and did not know what I was going to expect when I arrived. Some of the reviews mentioned it was a challenging course, which I would agree however, it was truly enjoyable and breathtaking views. I felt the course was in great shape. It gave you a lot of risk and reward opportunities and then the community that’s around the golf course was top-tier coming from Charlotte, North Carolina. I definitely will travel again to play this course.

Almost every hole you have to lay up and even if you hit it in the middle of the fairway the ball is sitting way above or below your feet. Definitely a pretty and well taken care of course but ridiculously set up.

They don’t tell you that you have to return a cart at a certain time the hunt you down on a hole and interrupt you mid swing 30min before that time that the hole your on is your last because of time. Most unfriendly car staff and the fair ways has bare patches and rock everywhere

Course layout is challenging in that you have to hit over stuff. Most of the time you can hit driver if you're accurate and 3 wood or hybrid if you're not. But there are a lot of forced carries, so it plays tough. Stay in the fairway, you're fine, get off of it you're not. Will definitely play again! Course recently aerated, and tee boxes recently heavily sanded. Didn't bother me as I know both things will make the course even better in a month or so.

This course was great, as far as the course is concerned. It’s challenging and beautiful and is well maintained. Many of the staff (restaurant staff, Marshalls) need some training and help. Wrong orders after waiting 20 minutes at the turn, being asked to skip a hole as a first warming after a fast playing group behind called the clubhouse(instead of asking to play through) led to a poor playing experience/visit. I’ll try them again in a year. For the money, I’d expect better.

Lake Arrowhead can be considered as one of the more challenging courses around Atlanta especially from the tips. The conditions were acceptable for spring time. Some teeboxes need work and greens played slow but overall it was decent. Plenty of slopes, so planning the shots well in advance is important.

Great tough course with beautiful views. Only downside is the kitchen isnt really open during the week so getting a bite at the turn wasn't really an option. Still an awesome course for the price. Cannot wait to play there again.

The course is challenging and can play pretty long depending on tee box selection. My biggest issue is the staff and golf carts. Second time I have been there and my tee time was late because they don’t have enough carts. I teed off 25 minutes later than expected and could not finish the round. It caused a massive backup in play because everyone tried to go off at one time. Too bad it’s a fun course but they need to manage tee time better and golf carts.
