About
Carved from acres of wooded countryside in Woodstock, Towne Lake Hills Golf Club takes advantage of the rolling green hills. The dramatic elevation changes make it difficult to find an even lie anywhere on the course. Arthur Hills, the course's designer, incorporated a variety of challenges that makes each hole unique including a deft smattering of sand bunkers. The golf course depends as heavily on course management and strategy as it does on shot-making skills. It is a challenge to say the least, but it's fair. There are also four sets of tees that make it more approachable. One of the most memorable holes is the fifth. This par 5 presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity that will make you think. Towne Lake Hills G.C. boasts consistently good course conditions and idyllic scenery that make the round even more enjoyable.

Fun Course
Played recently. Unfortunately, it rained the day before and it was CPO. Most all of the shaded areas of the fairway were slushy. Didn't make for a great round. But still was enjoyable. Definitely will come back. Pro Shop and on the course staff and bartender were all great! Very friendly and attentive.
Good Day
Course was in pretty good shape. A few tee boxes were bare, but otherwise good. Definitely play again.
Fun course
Fun course. Pace is annoying. Its like a slinky. You wait 15 minutes to shoot then get told to hurry up. Other than that, layout is good, greens are plush. Enjoyed it.
Too many blind shots for a first-time player on this course
I played this course with three other golfers none of us who had played this course before. It's a challenging course with some blind shots from the tees & also to greens. Local knowledge would have been valuable & I'm sure if I play this course again I'd play it differently knowing what's hidden out of sight. Greens were rolling good, fairways were excellent but the tees were still furry after being recently oversown.
Overall, it was an enjoyable experience on a course that's challenging especially the first time playing it. I do hope to come back & play this course again.
Keep it in the fairway
Very nice course and big greens ! Keep it in the fairway as the rough , although not tall, is unforgiving !

Beautiful course.
All staff friendly. Challenging course, even the 18th hole. Good price for a senior. We will be back. The pro shop, the starter, food cart lady, the Marshall, who came around checking on us, all were great.
Nice course but first cut off the fairways is way too long
Good course to play with a variety of different holes and distance on most of the course.Not the best if you are looking for flat lies in the fairways and the first cut of rough is way to long and very unforgiving.If you roll off the fairways or land in the rough it’s hard to find your ball let alone have a decent chance of hitting the green.
Broken windscreen on the cart should be removed and replaced as it looks bad and rattled all the time.
