Fairways of Canton Golf Club

Made a tee time 3 weeks in advance. Was told the cost would be 39.00. Was told the greens were area red several days prior. Arrived to find out that an additional 20.00 PER PERSON cart fee had not been included in my quote. Grumbled but paid it. Warmed up. Tee’d off only to find the greens were grooved AND heavily sanded. I mean like going to the beach! Much better golf for less Monet at Callahans or Arrowhead. Fairways is off limits now.

Fairways were clean and neat. Mowed with precision. Tee boxes were in great shape. The only recommendation is to install ready rooms along the course instead of porta-potties.

Challenging holes, difficult greens with pin placement and to me 2 of the best holes on any course #14 and #18.

I like the layout of the course. It has some of the most beautiful view in GA. It is challenging. I don’t feel that the slope is high enough. But, the holes are fair, when you make the correct shot. It’s in great condition. A little pricey for a public club.

Nice course but will be more fun next time. Kind of tricky if you don’t know the layout. Greens have been recently aerated so that took away from the experience. Looking forward to playing when greens are in their usual shape. Overall course is challenging but fair.

My son had called and wanted to play golf. He lives 4 hours away, but drove up to play golf. I booked through Golf Now on Thursday August 8th to play the following Sat August 10th. When we arrived to the course approximately 25 min before tee time and went to check in we were told they did not take reservations through Golf Now. I showed them my reservations on my phone and they said this was Golf Now problem and there was nothing they could do. They would not refund money. They would not give me a different tee time or offer to work us in. The guy there suggested I call Golf Now or go up the road to another course. The young lady said they had not taken reservations for 2 weeks through Golf Now and if I puled it up now I would not be able to book I tee time. I pulled it up and was able to see 2 spots for the exact tee time I had booked ( I had of course booked 2 of the 4 available two nights earlier.

The people at this course could care less and took no responsibility for the issue. The guy there even said I should call and work it out with Golf Now. No offer to assist. When I said they should help work this out he said "It was my money I should be the one to call. HORRIBLE!! I would not recommend due to the lack of staf interest in helping.

Overall the course was in great shape. But greens were nonexistent!! Recent aeration and tons of sand poured onto them made putting Horrendous!! Very bumpy and with obvious breaks showing, non could be found. Had I know the greens were “sand traps”, I probably would have played somewhere else. I love this layout, and the views are breathtaking, but I will ask about the condition of the greens next time.

Course overall in very good shape. Staff always friendly. Fairly new carts are nice. A little crowded for a Monday morning, but it thinned out as the heat increased. Major complaint was the greens. Not sure when they were aerated, but all greens still had RR tracks with sand. Not very playable. No notice on GN. Not a day to keep an accurate score, as no putts actually rolled as intended.

Green fees up considerably from last year. Course condition overall okay except greens. Recent aeration and other issues affect playability. Poor value with current green conditions.

Would have been nice if we had been notified that the greens had recently been airified. Terrible playing conditions.

The course in general was In decent shape. I’ve played here In the past and the greens were in awesome shape. Unfortunately today they were in unplayable conditions. Save some time and give the greens a week or so to recover from these terrible conditions. If the greens would’ve been up to normal standards it would’ve been a perfect day. Overall 6/10

was not able to play because it was raining before the start of my tee time. because this was a hot deal through golf now I lost money since the course was still open despite the rain.

Continues to have the slowest pace of play in Georgia

I found the golf staff in the clubhouse to be extremely friendly and accommodating. The course was in excellent condition with fast greens and awesome fairways. Very difficult holes which makes me want to return to challenge. As for the restaurant, I was there at lunch time on Thursday and sat down at a table for 20 minutes and did not get approached for service even thought there were several girls working at the bar area. I decided to skip lunch.

Fairways has to be my personal favorite. The course is absolutely amazing and the staff is friendly. My only comment would be on a nice day when the course is packed a reminder to all golfers about pace of play would be helpful. Other than that Keep up the outstanding work Fairways!

Just a FUN course to play with a challenging layout and greens that demand accuracy

Played it for the first time back on May 4 and had a blast then too

You can see the Turf management group has really worked hard and care about what they do by how nice of shape the course is in

41/39 made for a fun round

Greens were in great shape, rolled true and had consistent and perfect speed. Entire course was very nice in my opinion. Will definitely go back
