Bartram Trail Golf Club
About
Bartram Trail Golf Club in Evans is situated just minutes from Augusta National. Despite the fame of its neighbor, Bartram Trail stands out for being Columbia County's only public golf course. It has a location next to Patriot's Park that provides forests of mature hardwoods and pine trees that were fully utilized in the design. The scenic and well preserved landscape of the golf course includes rolling hills, natural wetlands, and the meandering Euchee Creek. The dedication to preserving the beauty of the terrain earned the course certification as an Audubon International Wildlife Sanctuary. Although the hills, trees, and wetlands present some formidable challenges, Bartram Trail Golf Club was designed with playability in mind as well. There are some tricky holes but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Premium Pricing
This course along with others are getting out of hand with pricing. Especially when they are in less than premium condition. I called prior to booking to make sure greens were in good condition and not recently aerated. Employee stated they last aerated in May so I said: “So they’re in good condition?” To which he replied “yes”. The next day, we get to the first green only to find them covered in sand. Although they still putted fairly well, could your employee not have indicated that when I called the day prior about conditions? Aside from the $70 a round midweek there small basket of range balls (definitely a small) is $12. Are you kidding me? I realize you just improved your driving range hitting area but those of us just warming up with a few balls before teeing off don’t need to pay for your fancy screens and ball tracking. Tired of most of these courses thinking they’re all that when lacking premium course conditions.
Poor Green Conditions
Greens had been recently aerated and sanded. I understand aeration is needed but courses should post that information wherever and whenever tee times are made to include Golf Now. Even though I received a discount through Golf Now it was still too much for the course conditions. For the prices charged for a round of golf aerated greens should easily dictate a $20 discount. Also, this course was not monitored by a marshal so it took almost 9 holes of constantly waiting for the threesome of what turned out to be “new” golfers to let our threesome play through and that was only after we asked them. If you’re going to charge premium prices you need to provide a premium experience. Please address these issues.
NICE!
Just booked a random course that was on a Hot Deal for a Monday afternoon. What a surprise when I arrive and realize how nice the course was. This is pre-Masters, so there were about 5 tee boxes that were off limits but they were looking nice. Also, they are renovating the range which looks like it will be covered bays. The course is hilly with great terrain, and nice homes and surrounding area. Nice greens and would highly recommend.
Play this wonderful golf course of you have the opportunity.

Used to be a really fun place to spend time. It’s become overpriced for the conditions. Unhappy staff.
