Old Conna Golf Club

Pity my tee time was 10 minutes after the last flight of a 4 balls senior competition on the front nine which made play slow.

Course is in good condition, in particular the greens and quite scenic on a number of holes. Holes are quite varied with a few gems.... of which the 98 meters par 3 with a "postage stamp" green surrounded by severe slopes.

Overall I found this course very challenging with downhill and uphill holes and fairways with slopes. It felt the ball was always higher or lower than my feet except on the tees. It is also quite long (from the green tees) for a short hitter like me. The combination resulted in a very tired senior golfer after 18 holes!

All members have electric troleys and I understand why.

Happy to have played it once, Will not return for a while.

Probably my favourite course i have played, although I haven't played too many. Great variation of holes. Really challenging and gets you thinking about your shots. Only downside was there was a holdup in front of us but it had cleared up after the 9th hole.

The course was great but got stuck with a pair of airheads

Very mature parkland coure. For January the greens were outstanding. One or two temporary tee box's which is understandable at this time of year. Over all very enjoyable golf course to play with outstanding view's of sugar loaf mountain right out to dalky killiney and the sea.

Played Old Conna on Nov 1, 2024 via Golfnow app. The proshop welcome was friendly and the course/clubhouse has a cozy look. Luckily I was paired with a threesome who were friendly so the round was enjoyable. Nice views from many holes, certainly some holes are challenging but fair. Drives need to find the fairway to score well. The fairways and greens were immaculate. Although the skies were cloudy, the course presented well. I bought some golf shirts after my round, but upon my return when I tried them on they were too small. Went back the next day and the proshop guys took them back for a full refund with no fuss. The clubhouse looks very nice and the location of the course is easily accessible from the motorway. Will definitely go back. Shot 82 with 3 double bogeys, but can't really complain having played there for the first time. Cheers!

Great company and friendly staff. Accommodating and fairways and greens running much better than expected.

Great layout, spectacular views, and a tough but fair challenge. Greens run fast and true.
