Good course, just Good

Here's a possible review based on your feedback:

---

"I had a fantastic experience at the golf club! The course layout is enjoyable, and the greens are in excellent condition. The staff was friendly and helpful, making the overall atmosphere welcoming.

However, I did notice that the bunkers could use some attention. Their age is showing, and they appear a bit scrappy compared to the rest of the course. If the club invests in better maintenance of these bunkers, it would elevate the golfing experience even more.

Overall, I highly recommend this golf club, just with a minor suggestion

Not good.

Very poor condition, teeboxes particularly bad, probably the worst I’ve seen. Fairways and greens weren’t much better. Overall a badly neglected course, potentially could be an excellent course with some TLC.

Worst course in Dublin

In appalling condition, don’t think the tee boxes have seen a lawnmower in years! 4 different lengths of grace on the greens, impossible to read, no consistency whatsoever. Fairways are a joke, you could lose your ball in the middle of the fairway!

Must be the laziest green keeper in the country.

Dreadful Condition

How could they let such a fabulous deteriorate so badly. Tee’s are by far the worse I ever seen, don’t think they’ve seen a lawn mower in years, I reckon the rely on the deer to keep the grass short on the tee boxes. As for the fairways and greens, I’d give 0 out of 10. They have the laziest groundskeepers in Ireland, by a million miles. What a shame!

Excellent Course

This is an excellent course for beginners to golf as the holes are quite open and allow for a few rogue tee shots. Went as a group of 3 and there were people in front and behind however we never had any issues with the pace of play.

There is a small green to practice chipping or putting before you start your round and the trolleys are available for €2.

Overall the whole group was very happy and we will be returning again.

Decent course, unfriendly staff

Course was in decent condition. Fairways are probably the best kept area on the course, the greens are extremely spongy and in need of an overhaul. Not that busy and there was good pace of play the evening I was there. The man in the clubhouse was extremely unwelcoming and would make me not want to return. I attended with a beginner golfer as this course is great for beginners starting out.

Dreadful Course

Worse kept course I’ve ever played, don’t think they own a lawnmower, they rely on the herd of deer that wander the course, to cut the grass!

Dreadful course

Great potential but obviously the staff and greenkeeper hate their job..

Worst condition I’ve ever seen a golf course in…grass is randomly cut in all directions, if you’re in the fairway you could have a bare lie or a fluffy lie, ridiculous!

Disgraceful!

What an absolute dump! Got a special offer of €9.99 on GolfNow, still too much for this dump! Worse course I’ve ever played! How they’ve let a beautiful 9 hole hole parkland course and let it go completely, from teebox to green is a crying shame. Whoever runs Stepaside Golf Club now should be ashamed of themselves!

What happened to Stepaside GC?

I grew up playing Stepaside, it used to be a beautiful golf course, I haven’t play it in a few years but I was amazed at how they have neglected it. The greens, tee boxes and fairways were absolutely disgraceful, probably the worst course I’ve played ever! Really sad to see such a beautiful course being neglected like that. Will never play there again.
