Oaks at Ft. Walton Beach Golf Club

This is your typical municipal course. Ok shape but unimpressed as it was highly recommended

Great place , great people. , great course layout. Couldn’t play but a few holes got rainout 2 days in a row, so lost money but excellent place

We try and play a round of best ball once a week between doctor's visits. Friday's round was nice with a few sprinkles of rain. We birdied the first hole and shot even par for the remaining holes. The course is in good shape fairways and greens. Stay tuned for next week's over the hill game day.

FWB has been getting better as a beautiful affordable course.

I played the Oaks course with a late morning time on a Friday. I haveplayed both the Pines and the Oaks course multiple times before. I like the Oaks layout and feel like it makes you put your ball in the right position to score. The course was busy, but this has not usually had an big impact on pace play. I usually play on Friday or weekend day and even when busy get around the course in four hours or less. Play was much slower today and we were informed by a ranger that there were two sixsomes a few groups ahead of us. They asked one of the groups to break up into two threesomes and the other was allowed to continue playing with six in a scramble. A golfer in our group was playing his first round and we had no trouble keeping up. We finished our round in approximately five hours. Very unlike my usual experience there even when the course is busy. Greens are very slow, but if brought up to speed, I think they would be a good challenge. Lately I’ve been playing more golf at Fort Walton Beach and planning to do so in the future, but this may make me rethink that if it groups of 6 become pattern.

Play VERY slow. No golf etiquette. Greens and 1st cut fairways rough and over grown. Greens needed to be cut and rolled badly. 1st cut on the airways were so high you had to be standing directly over your ball to find it! Tee boxes were in better condition. The staff is fantastic, friendly and very helpful!

Course was in horrible shape, played it many times. Been neglected. Greens way overdue for “grooming”

Played well and course laid out well. Had a great round.

We were playing a best ball round and we're 2 under when the rain caused us to suspend the round. We got in 16 holes. Great time was had by all. Recommend this type of play and this course for season golfers.

We found this course through GolfNow and were really glad we did. We had a great time playing it while we were in Fort Walton Beach. The course was fun and enjoyable, and the price was very reasonable. It’s a great option if you’re looking for a fun round of golf without spending a fortune. We would definitely play here again!

Above average for a municipal course. Pace of play was challenging, would’ve like to see more Marshall presence. Overall good value if booked on GolfNow.

Us over 80 group try and get out once a week to challenge the course playing best ball. We scored 68 on this outing with 2 birdies on each side. Recommend this type of play for season golfers. This course is ideal for a days outing.

Did not get to play the course got rained out that day waiting to receive a rain check from Golf now where I booked it

There was no mention of aeration on the greens before booking or while at the course

Everything was very good, a few greens could use a little work, but overall very nice.

We enjoyed the golf course.. the greens were big and smooth. Great,day of golf. Traffic afterwards was terrible.
