Emerald Bay Golf Club

I am a scratch player, so I enjoy my rounds and take it seriously. This course is not that good, really boring round, starter was rude. place was not very friendly, the pins have not been changed in over a week. a few tee boxes were dirt. not worth the 112 dollars for a tee time, I have played courses much much nicer than this for way less. The course has potential and should maybe fix some of the issues I have mentioned, and the driving range was mats only. I would not recommend this course at all.

Course was meticulous. Pure greens a lot faster than what I am used too but was easy to adjust. Beautiful scenery and the staff was awesome

First time playing here and a very good experience overall. Staff was great, very friendly. Good mix of holes with some water in play but not super tight or having a lot of forced carries. There had been a lot of rain recently but overall it drained well. A few sand traps were pretty hard packed and some tee boxes could use some work, otherwise course conditions were fine. One weird thing was the gps on the carts pin positions for a while did not match what we saw on the course.

The good: employees were very welcoming and helpful.

Bad: Pace of play was not good. Course paired up a five some in front of us with little kids. Which is totally fine and if we would have had to wait all day we would have no problem. Where the problem comes in are the club members who think they own the place. So they become pricks and start rushing every shot we are taking which takes any enjoyment away. Several times we were hit up on or into. Course management should have managed the problem or set the correct expectations for their members. Very poor for membership to treat new players. If you are visiting the area I would not recommend this course. Go to Kelly Plantation we had a fantastic experience there. Lastly we quit at 9 holes as it was not fun and the course refused to provide a refund because I booked through Golf Now. Very poor Management!

Overall the course was in really good shape for the first week of August. Fairways were perfect and rough not too deep. Various tee box options provides a challenge at all levels. Greens were firm and rolled pure. Green fee price was very reasonable compared to courses close by. Staff was great, super friendly and engaging. Highly recommend playing Emerald Bay.

It was very hot but the course was very good could have used more water stations or the beverage cart more often. I do like playing here when I am in the area

The course was in great shape for a late hoy July day. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The course was awesome. Nice clubhouse with staff to accommodate. They even clean your clubs after the round. Would play here again

We could have played cheaper courses but I’m glad we paid a little more. We were greeted at the bag drop by nice younger men, the guys in the pro shop were also helpful and courteous. Luckily got paired with some locals who play the course a lot. It was a fun track and I would definitely do it again. Don’t go cheaper. Pick Emerald Bay!

Ok layout but conditions were not great. Tees and greens were chewed up pretty badly.

Great golf course with lots of challenges. Lots of water and out of bounds, but it makes you a better player playing courses like this. Greens rolled good for summer conditions. I would recommend to more serious golfers, not casual golfers!

Greens were punched 3 weeks ago and they were very slow and bumpy. About half of the fairways had very sparse grass. Play was very slow and after the turn there were 3 groups on hole 10 so I bagged it.
