Kelly Plantation Golf Club

Greens were in great shape with good speed. Great layout. Challenging, but fair. Very playable with plenty of room off the tee but big misses will be punished. Second tee time and the pace of play was well under 4 hours. Will definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

On the morning I played there was heavy rain for 2 to 3 days be fore my tee time. The course was not only playable, there were only minor adjustments needed because the course recovered from the rain better than most courses that I have played. The practice area was top notch , there was a driving range, and multiple greens for putting, chipping, pitching and sand shots. Worth every penny spent for round. I have also played the Sandestin courses and Regatta Bay and this one is either 1 or 2 on my Destin course list

The place is just beautiful and course is really good, BUT.. the Pro-shop attendant was slightly rude at check-in and not helpful at all. I reserved a rental set and on website it said $75. He charged me $85 & I told him I reserved and was told on phone when confirming the res that was the cost. He said “well the website is wrong!” And charged me $85. Every other place I’ve rented clubs has always included a a sleeve of balls and sometimes other small things. Not here. For $199 for the round plus $85, it was not worth it. The practice has no tees, They tout the chilled basket of apples but if was just a bunch of tiny apples thrown into a dirty cooler. They don’t give complimentary bottles of water either. The ladies locker room has nothing except soap and paper towels. No, sunscreen, tissue or any supplies whatsoever which was quite surprising.

The bag and loading staff were wonderful.

It is such a gorgeous place and we were hoping for the experience to be a bit more servicing for the price paid.

Course layout is good. Greens were not in good shape due to aeration and very dry. Should have received a discount on fee. Golf rates too high.

From our greeting while dropping bags, to the pro shop men, to all the guys working outside and the drink cart lady, everyone was awesome. Nice, helpful, polite and friendly — all wanting to ensure a fun, fair round, with good speed of play. The layout is top tier — extremely well thought out and fair. We loved it.

We played 3 courses in 3 days. Kelly Plantation was the best course we played. It was in great shape and challenging enough to make you think about your shots.

I have played course many times. They punched greens 2 weeks ago they weren’t grown in yet. No bag boys at club drop off point coming or going. Disappointed staff limited thete. Course in so so shape.

We loved the course. You must stay in the fairway. Many trees but beautiful! Will definitely play it again when we return!

Love the course…should have discounted the round due to green conditions. Had aerated 6 days earlier, greens were really bad, and no discount. The layout is fantastic and the staff very friendly.

For $219, the course was not in great shape except the greens. Greens rolled well and true despite some patches of Poa Annua. Fairways were the worse I have seen there. The drought conditions and a prior issue with the sprinkler pump (according to the Starter) contributed to the less than ideal conditions. Bunkers were not raked. Driving range was very rough. Not much grass to hit off of. Practice green was very good. Staff was mostly helpful except the drink cart. Person on the cart was not friendly. The cart paths have deteriorated quite a bit. Not worth the price we paid.

First time playing Kelly plantation. It was very enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and helpful showing you around. Direct you to the practice range which includes the chipping green with the sand trap. to practice those sand shot because there is a lot of sand on the course. Would highly recommend. Be prepared to pay a premium .
