About
Located along the shores of Choctawhatchee Bay, Shalimar Pointe Golf Club enjoys a scenic, rolling landscape dotted with trees. This often-overlooked golf course has been considered one of the Emerald Coast's best-kept secrets but the word is beginning to get out. The course, due to its challenging but playable nature, has been used for U.S. Open qualifiers and it was host to the Emerald Coast Tour. The layout features immaculately manicured greens that are framed by strategic bunkering and water hazards on a number of holes. The golf course is challenging but fair with five sets of tees to accommodate players of all skill levels. The course is Shalimar Pointe's main attraction but it is complemented by extensive practice facilities including an expansive driving range, putting green and chipping green.

course was great from my last time here several years ago. friendly staff and course challenging. if i could get the speed down on green sit could have been more memorable ,.will be back!
Great choice
Course was in great shape, good job on reconditioning…staff super accommodating…only drawback is carts are old…but only a minor inconvenience…as long as course stays this good, keeep the old carts!!
Great course for the green fee
Really enjoyed it. Fairways a little thin in spots, but can’t find anything to complain about otherwise. Super friendly staff.
Sad Shape
I don’t like giving negative reviews but this course deserves it. We ended up playing 8 hole because we jumped a foursome that didn’t have the courtesy of letting my wife & I play through. The course did not warrant playing the back nine. Driving range was a joke. Old gas Club Carts could have waken the dead. I know we timed our round at the end of summer and conditions would not be ideal, but this course is so like other 50s-60s courses that don’t have the membership or resources to keep it up. Don’t make the same mistake we did.

Undulating greens
Great course to play. Very undulating greens usually breaking one way or the other. Challenging to read. Fairways are excellent and plush. Off fairway may be roughy or sparse, so drive it straight.
Labor Day Golf
Course is in excellent condition. Everything is green and plush.
Florida Golf
Course was in great condition. The greens are finally starting to establish the grain being just over a year old from the renovation. Weather was very hot, but knew it would be that way.
Had a great. Everyone was very friendly to include helpful.
Bucket lists items checked off!
The pretty young lady who I had a Texas connection with. Was very pleasant and just started the day out right for us. Always nice to have a smiling cheerful person to get a round started. Got some drinks and the staff over there was just as accommodating. The four stars is only due the slow greens. But that is really the only down side to the course. From tee box to green you had a very nice surface to hit off of...unless you missed the fairway. That was not unfair either just a challenge as it should be. Talked to some locals and they stated the greens were shaggy and could have been mowed and rolled. Over all I checked off some bucket list items.
