Shalimar Pointe Golf Club
About
Located along the shores of Choctawhatchee Bay, Shalimar Pointe Golf Club enjoys a scenic, rolling landscape dotted with trees. This often-overlooked golf course has been considered one of the Emerald Coast's best-kept secrets but the word is beginning to get out. The course, due to its challenging but playable nature, has been used for U.S. Open qualifiers and it was host to the Emerald Coast Tour. The layout features immaculately manicured greens that are framed by strategic bunkering and water hazards on a number of holes. The golf course is challenging but fair with five sets of tees to accommodate players of all skill levels. The course is Shalimar Pointe's main attraction but it is complemented by extensive practice facilities including an expansive driving range, putting green and chipping green.

Good value
Staff was the nicest I have run across! Greens could use some work but other than that all good. Challenging layout and long for women from the gold tees.
Slow Play
Everything was fine with the exception of slow play. Staff. Was extremely helpful and courteous.
Superfast greens!
We played Feb 26, 2026, and, as expected, everything was dry. Course was well-maintained, pace of play very smooth.
There was no stopping your ball on the greens, and we found it difficult to lag putt. Several greens slope toward the water, so if you landed low (to putt uphill), your ball would roll toward or into the water.
A more difficult course than we usually play. I'm a 28 handicap, my wife is a 21.
Enjoyed the course b
Range was fine but hitting off mats. Course provided range balls. Course was in overall good shape. Greens in very good shape. Somewhat slower than I am used to but I like slower greens. Not slow just slower. Course is a good value for the money. Will play again.
Best course in the area for the price.
If you want to play a chorus with a decent slope rating this is it. Rolling hills for fairways, bunkers everywhere and challenging dog legs. You'll have an awesome time of this course. The pro shop's cool, and they always have free range balls.
Fun Time
Course is starting to turn green. Good layout. Challenging large greens with lots of breaks
Terrible experience
Desperately need to have a Marshall enforcing pace of play. I got sent out as a single with a 3 some in front of me a single in front of them and a 5 some in front of them. None of which would let me play through. This course is seriously lacking golf etiquette being enforced. I hope someone actually reads this and something changes. Until then I will not be going back.
Poor greens
It’s the greens
While we did roll ball in fairway to find grass
Once you got on the green; it wasn’t a fair fight
Greens are very fast that’s find, but they weren’t true and had sprigs of weeds sprouting
The ball would not could not roll true and that was very disappointing
Nice course and facilities
Have been playing at Shalimar for 6 years and still enjoy the course and Staff. Definitely be back.
Husker
Winter conditions so course shape not great. Played in under 3 1/2 hours which was nice. Appreciate free range balls. Would go back if under $50.
